SEED 2026 Registration Nears Final Deadline of December 28; Last Day Rush Expected

The Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED) is a gateway for creative minds aiming to secure a seat at the prestigious Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID). As of December 27, 2025, only 24 hours remain before the portal officially closes for B.Des applications. Aspirants are urged to finalize their submissions today to bypass potential technical delays caused by heavy traffic on the final day.

SEED 2026: Critical Deadlines and Exam Timeline

To ensure a smooth admission journey, candidates must keep track of the following dates released by SID Pune. The registration window, which was previously extended, will not see further delays.

• Registration Closure: The final date for online form submission and fee payment is December 28, 2025.
• Admit Card Release: Successfully registered candidates can download their hall tickets from January 5, 2026, until the exam day.
• Mandatory Mock Test: A practice session is scheduled for January 7, 2026, to help students familiarize themselves with the online proctored interface.
• Entrance Exam Date: The SEED 2026 online exam will be held on January 11, 2026, in a one-hour slot.

Application Checklist and Fee Requirements

Before hitting the final submit button, aspirants must verify their eligibility and document readiness. The application process is entirely digital and requires a multi-step verification.

• Registration Fee: The total fee is ₹3,250, which includes ₹2,250 for the SEED entrance test and ₹1,000 for the SID institute registration.
• Academic Eligibility: Candidates must have passed Class 12 (any stream) or a 10+3 diploma with a minimum of 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST).
• Document Uploads: Ensure you have a scanned passport-sized photograph (max 150 kb) and valid ID proof ready in the specified formats.

Essential Preparation for the Online Proctored Exam

Since the SEED 2026 is an online proctored test, technical readiness is as important as design aptitude. Candidates should use the remaining time to review the 60-minute exam structure.

• Question Types: Expect a mix of MCQs, image-based questions, and match-the-column tasks focused on visualization and creative reasoning.
• Syllabus Focus: Key areas include visual sensitivity, design awareness, and basic science and math applications (up to Class 10).
• System Check: Ensure your laptop or desktop meets the requirements specified on the official SID portal for the proctored environment.

In conclusion, the window for one of India’s most sought-after design entrance exams is rapidly closing. Missing this deadline means waiting another year for admission. Candidates are strongly advised to visit the official portal at sid.edu.in immediately to complete their registration and verify their payment status to secure their spot for the January exam.
