What can a candidate do with their scores in this test?
- MAH MEd CET: Designed for candidates seeking admission to the traditional 2-year Master of Education (M.Ed.) programme in Maharashtra.
- MAH BEd-MEd CET: Designed for candidates entering the 3-year integrated Bachelor and Master of Education dual-degree program, which saves students one academic year compared to pursuing the degrees one after another.
The evaluation metrics and final results have been evaluated based on a standardised normalisation process, and the final answer key is published after resolving candidate grievances.
Upcoming Centralized Admission Process (CAP) Timeline
With the scorecards now available, the State CET Cell will soon start the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for seat allocation from the admission process. The upcoming phases will involve online CAP registration, publication of provisional merit lists, choice filling (where candidates select their preferred colleges), and multi-round seat allotments based strictly on merit, category cutoffs, and seat availability.
How did the exam get shifted to computer-based mode?
Initially, the MAH M.Ed. CET was conducted as a traditional pen-and-paper, OMR-sheet-based test. However, as part of a massive modernization drive by the Directorate of Higher Education and the CET Cell to curb malpractices and speed up result declaration, the exam transitioned completely into an online Computer-Based Test (CBT).
Today, the exam is conducted across multiple digital centres statewide in both English and Marathi mediums. It comprises 100 multiple-choice questions covering core teaching ability, general knowledge, and the mental ability, notably featuring a format with no negative marking to fairly evaluate the pedagogical aptitude of future teacher-educators.
