The National Testing Agency (NTA) which holds the responsibility to conduct multiple examinations in India has opened the Re-NEET UG 2026 correction window at neet.nta.nic.in from May 15 to May 21, 2026. The examination for the courses at the Medical Colleges across the nation, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, will be held on June 21, 2026 from 2 PM till 5:15 PM.
The cancellation of the Medical Examination has brought down the spark of the National Testing Agency. A thing to notice is that there were black stains on the same examination process last year. The examination went to the Supreme Court of India where the Supreme Court confirmed that the integrity of the exam was compromised in the examination process.
More than 22 lakh candidates sat for the medical examination and will have to go through the same process again. Around 22.79 lakh candidates can update their present address and choose preferred exam cities. The Re-NEET 2026 examination which is scheduled on Sunday, June 21, 2026 has provided all the details of the examination process to the candidates.
- The re-exam will be conducted in offline (Pen and Paper) mode in a single shift from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM across all exam centers in the country.
- The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test would be conducted in 13 languages.
- No fee will be charged for using the correction window and the original NEET-UG 2026 registration fee will be refunded to all candidates.
- The original NEET UG 2026 exam held on May 3, 2026, was cancelled by the NTA following a nationwide paper leak.
- The CBI, which took over the investigation, has since arrested P.V. Kulkarni, a retired chemistry lecturer and NTA paper-setter. PV Kulkarni is being identified as the alleged mastermind of the leak.
