The Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot, the competent authority for the state-level counselling, has commenced the registration and willingness submission process for the Punjab NEET UG Counselling 2025 Round 3. This round is extremely vital for aspirants seeking admission to MBBS and BDS courses against the 85% State Quota seats in government and private medical/dental colleges across Punjab. Candidates must be fully aware of the deadlines and the importance of this stage, as it presents a final significant chance to secure a seat before the subsequent stray vacancy round.

The official schedule indicates that the window for fresh registration and payment of the non-refundable fee for Round 3 is currently active and will close on October 5, 2025, at 2:00 PM. This is a strict deadline, and aspirants who failed to register in the previous rounds or resigned from their Round 2 seats must complete this step immediately. A separate fee structure for registration and security deposits is in place for different categories and for candidates opting for Government or Private College seats, with the security deposit for Private Colleges being notably high at ₹2,00,000.

Choice Filling and Locking: The Strategy Phase

The main action following registration is the choice filling and locking process, scheduled from October 8 to October 10, 2025. This three-day window is critical. Aspirants must diligently review the newly released vacant seat matrix on the official BFUHS website and strategically fill in their preferred colleges and courses in descending order of priority.

  • For Fresh Candidates: This is the first opportunity to submit a comprehensive list of preferences based on the available seats.
  • For Already Registered Candidates (Not Allotted or Not Joined Round 1/2): These candidates, while not needing to re-register, must submit their willingness and fresh choices to be considered in Round 3. Their previous choices will be null and void.
  • The Locking Process: Candidates must lock their choices before the deadline, or the choices will be auto-locked. Unlocked choices may not be considered for the allotment process, which will lead to disqualification from the current round.

The Strict Rule for Round 3 Joining: No Exit Policy

A very crucial point for all aspirants is the "No Resignation" rule for seats allotted in Round 3. Unlike Round 1 and often Round 2, joining a college seat allocated in the third round or any subsequent round (like the Stray Vacancy Round) mandates that the candidate cannot surrender or upgrade that seat. Joining in Round 3 results in the definitive closure of the admission process for that candidate in the current counselling cycle. Aspirants must exercise the utmost caution and only fill choices for colleges and courses they are absolutely willing to join, as the seat allotment on October 16, 2025, will be final and binding upon acceptance.

The entire process is online, and aspirants are strongly advised to constantly check the official BFUHS website, bfuhs.ac.in, for any last-minute notifications or changes to the schedule. For regular updates on admission processes and exam alerts in the Medical stream, follow Only Education News.
