Attention NEET UG aspirants for Punjab state quota seats! The Round 3 admission and reporting window is closing today, October 31, 2025. The Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) has concluded the seat allotment process. Candidates must complete their fee payment and joining formalities today. Future admissions will shift to the Stray Vacancy Round for any remaining seats. Check the official MCC schedule for the All India Quota Stray Vacancy Round starting November 4, 2025.

For candidates who secured a seat in the highly anticipated Punjab NEET UG 2025 Round 3 Counselling for MBBS and BDS courses, today marks the absolute final deadline to complete the admission process. According to the revised schedule released by the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), the reporting and joining window at the allotted medical and dental colleges concludes today, October 31, 2025.

This marks the culmination of the major allocation rounds for the 85% state quota seats in Punjab. Candidates who have been provisionally allotted a seat must ensure their fee payment and document verification are successfully completed by the end of the day. Failure to report and complete formalities by the deadline will result in the forfeiture of the allotted seat and the security deposit, pushing the seat back into the final, decisive Stray Vacancy Round. Aspirants must now turn their attention to the upcoming Stray Vacancy Rounds, both at the state and All India Quota (AIQ) levels, to secure any remaining opportunities.

Punjab State Quota Round 3: Allotment & Reporting Status

The Round 3 of the Punjab NEET UG counselling was managed by BFUHS, and it has successfully completed all major procedural steps, including registration, choice filling, and seat allotment. The entire process has been compressed to align with the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) schedule for the All India Counselling.

  • Round 3 Key Dates Recap:
    • Choice Filling & Locking: Concluded on October 18, 2025. This was the last chance for candidates to submit their preferences.
    • Seat Allotment Result: The final result was declared around October 22-23, 2025, after addressing objections to the provisional list.
    • Reporting & Joining: The window for payment of the balance fee and physical reporting/joining at the allotted college runs until today, October 31, 2025.
  • Mandatory Actions for Allotted Candidates:
    • Pay Balance Fee: Candidates must pay the remaining amount of the stipulated college fee through the BFUHS university payment gateway.
    • Physical Reporting: Report physically to the respective allotted college with all original documents for verification. This includes the allotment letter, NEET UG admit card/scorecard, domicile certificate, and category proof.
  • Consequence of Non-Reporting: Any seat not reported against by the end of today will be declared vacant and automatically carried forward into the final Stray Vacancy Round for the state.

National Stage Update: MCC AIQ Round 3 Conclusion

The counselling process is centralized to a great extent, and the completion of the Punjab State Round 3 aligns perfectly with the national schedule set by the MCC. The reporting phase for the MCC All India Quota (AIQ) Round 3 seats also concludes shortly, preparing the ground for the final round of admissions.

  • MCC AIQ Round 3 Deadlines:
    • The institute reporting and joining deadline for seats allotted in the MCC AIQ Round 3 is November 1, 2025.
    • The list of candidates who have joined their seats in Round 3 is crucial, as they are ineligible to participate in the subsequent Stray Vacancy Round.
  • Key Implications for Aspirants:
    • Candidates who secured a seat in the MCC's AIQ Round 3 and joined are out of the game for the subsequent Stray Vacancy Rounds (both AIQ and State).
    • Candidates who did not get a seat in any of the three main rounds (AIQ or State) or who exited with forfeiture of their security deposit are the primary target group for the upcoming final rounds.
    • The final number of vacant seats for the Stray Vacancy Round will be calculated only after the completion of the reporting processes for both the AIQ and State Round 3 seats.

The Road Ahead: Prepare for the Stray Vacancy Rounds

With Round 3 admissions wrapping up, the attention of all remaining eligible candidates must immediately shift to the Stray Vacancy Round. This round is the last opportunity to secure a seat for the academic year 2025.

  • MCC AIQ Stray Vacancy Round:
    • Registration/Payment: The window for new registration and payment for the AIQ Stray Vacancy Round is scheduled to open soon, generally around November 4, 2025.
    • Choice Filling: This crucial step will also begin shortly after registration, typically running for a few days, giving candidates a final chance to submit their preferences for the last available AIQ seats.
    • Allocation: The entire Stray Vacancy Round, including seat allotment and reporting, is typically a quick, streamlined process with a final result expected around mid-November 2025.
  • Punjab State Stray Vacancy Round:
    • Schedule Announcement: BFUHS will announce a separate schedule for the State Stray Vacancy Round only after the MCC has concluded its AIQ Stray Vacancy Round and returned any leftover central quota seats to the state pool.
    • Eligibility: This round is essential for candidates targeting the 85% state quota seats that remain vacant even after Round 3.

Crucial Note: Aspirants must be extremely attentive during the Stray Vacancy Round, as there is often no option to resign or leave the allotted seat. The process is generally non-negotiable.

Conclusion

Today marks the end of a critical phase in the NEET UG 2025 admission cycle. Successful candidates in Punjab's Round 3 must finalize their admissions without delay. For all other aspirants who are still on the waitlist, the focus shifts entirely to the impending Stray Vacancy Rounds. Ensure all your documents are ready and you are meticulously tracking the official websites of both BFUHS and MCC for the announcement of the final, last-chance schedule. The competition for the remaining seats will be fierce, making preparation and timely action paramount.
