UP NEET PG 2025 Round 3 reporting continues at medical colleges and nodal centers. Complete admission formalities and document verification before the deadline.

The reporting phase for the third round of the Uttar Pradesh National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduates (NEET PG) 2025 is currently underway across the state. Following the seat allotment result declaration on January 12, successful candidates are now visiting their designated medical colleges and nodal centers to complete mandatory admission formalities. The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (DGME), Uttar Pradesh, has emphasized that all candidates must finish the joining process by January 17 to retain their allotted seats.

Procedural Requirements at Nodal Centers and Colleges

For the 2025-26 academic session, the UP DGME has implemented a dual reporting structure based on the type of institution allotted. Candidates assigned to government medical colleges are required to report directly to the respective medical university or district hospital mentioned in their allotment letter. In contrast, those who have secured seats in private medical colleges must first report to a specific nodal center for verification and fee deposition before proceeding to their final college.

A critical component of this phase is the submission of the tuition fee. For private sector admissions, candidates are mandated to carry a CTS Demand Draft issued in favor of the Director General, Medical Education & Training, UP. Failure to complete this admission step or the non-submission of the required fee within the prescribed window will lead to the immediate forfeiture of the security deposit. This round is particularly significant as it includes both clear vacancies and "Seat Against Cancellation" (SAC) options, which are virtual vacancies created through upgrades.

  • Reporting Window: January 13 to January 17, 2026.
  • Government Colleges: Direct reporting to the allotted college/university.
  • Private Colleges: Reporting at the designated Nodal Center for fee and document processing.
  • Mandatory Action: Physical presence is required; online reporting is not permitted for this round.

Essential Documentation and Verification Process

The document verification process is the most rigorous part of the current cycle. Candidates must carry their original credentials along with at least two sets of self-attested photocopies. The authorities are cross-checking medical registration certificates from the NMC or State Medical Council, along with the internship completion certificate, which must show a completion date on or before the eligibility cutoff.

Conclusion

As the January 17 deadline approaches, the DGME has advised candidates to avoid waiting for the final day to prevent technical or logistical delays. Completing the admission formalities early allows for a smoother verification process and ensures that any discrepancy in documentation can be addressed within the reporting period. Candidates who do not join their allotted seats in this round will not be eligible for further state-quota rounds, and their seats will be declared vacant for the upcoming stray vacancy phase. The successful completion of this phase is the final hurdle before the commencement of the postgraduate academic session in Uttar Pradesh.
