Eligibility Criteria and Examination Structure

  • UG Law Admissions: For the 3-year LL.B., candidates must possess a graduate degree with 45% aggregate marks. The 5-year integrated law course requires a 10+2 qualification with similar percentage mandates.
  • PG Law Admissions: Aspirants for the TS PGLCET must hold an LL.B./B.L. degree from a recognized university to be eligible for the postgraduate entrance test.
  • Examination Mode: Both the LAWCET and PGLCET will be conducted as Computer Based Tests (CBT) across various regional centres in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
  • Syllabus Focus: The undergraduate test evaluates General Knowledge, Mental Ability, and Current Affairs, alongside a specific section dedicated to the Aptitude for the Study of Law.
  • Qualifying Marks: To secure a rank, general category candidates must obtain a minimum of 25% marks, while there is no minimum qualifying mark for SC/ST students.

  • Notification Date: The official notification was released today, February 3, 2026, providing the complete schedule for the 2026 admission cycle.
  • Registration Window: Online applications are expected to commence on February 5, 2026, and will remain open without a late fee until mid-April.
  • Entrance Test Date: The TSCHE has tentatively scheduled the entrance examinations for the first week of June 2026, allowing students ample time for preparation after their final year exams.
  • Application Fee: The fee for the general category is set at ₹800 for the UG test and ₹1000 for the PG test, payable through the TS LAWCET official portal.
  • Correction Facility: A brief window for rectifying errors in the submitted notification data will be provided to candidates in May 2026.
