SLAT 2026 aspirants must complete their registration by the non-negotiable deadline of November 30, 2025. This crucial step involves paying two separate fees: the ₹2,250 application fee and the ₹1,000 program fee for each Symbiosis Law School (SLS) you apply to. Failure to pay the program fee, even with a strong SLAT score, will lead to the immediate ineligibility of your application for that specific SLS campus. Read this essential guide for all the payment details, deadlines, and common pitfalls to ensure your law school dream remains on track. Don't let a payment oversight derail your future—act now.

The dream of securing a spot in the prestigious five-year integrated law programs (BA LLB and BBA LLB) offered by Symbiosis Law Schools (SLS) in Pune, Noida, Hyderabad, and Nagpur is nearing a critical juncture. For all candidates of the Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) 2026, the final deadline for application and fee submission is rapidly approaching: November 30, 2025.

It is absolutely vital for every aspirant to understand that the SLAT application process involves two mandatory, non-refundable payments: the general entrance test application fee and the specific program registration fee for each desired Symbiosis Law School (SLS) campus. A single, crucial oversight—omitting the ₹1,000 program fee—will invalidate your application for that particular program, irrespective of your performance in the SLAT exam. This article breaks down the essential payment structure and timeline to safeguard your law school application.

Paying Your Way to Law School: The Mandatory Dual Fee Structure

The most common error leading to application rejection is the failure to complete the two-part fee payment. The Symbiosis International (Deemed University) has clearly defined a dual-payment mechanism, and both components must be settled before the November 30 deadline.

  • SLAT Entrance Test Registration Fee (₹2,250 per test):
    • This is the non-refundable fee required to register for the SLAT 2026 entrance exam itself.
    • Since SLAT 2026 is conducted in two phases—Test 1 on December 20, 2025, and Test 2 on December 28, 2025—candidates who opt to appear for both tests must pay this fee twice (₹2,250 x 2).
  • Program Registration Fee (₹1,000 per program):
    • This is the non-refundable, mandatory fee for applying to a specific program (BA LLB or BBA LLB) at a particular Symbiosis Law School (SLS) campus (Pune, Noida, Hyderabad, or Nagpur).
    • Crucial Point: If you wish to apply to SLS Pune and SLS Noida, you must pay the program fee twice (₹1,000 x 2 = ₹2,000). If you apply for both the BA LLB and BBA LLB programs at SLS Pune, you must pay the fee twice for that single campus (₹1,000 x 2 = ₹2,000).
  • Payment Methods:
    • Online Payment: Candidates can conveniently use various online modes, including Net Banking, Credit/Debit Cards, UPI, and Wallets.
    • Demand Draft (DD): An offline option is available via a DD drawn in favor of the "Symbiosis Test Secretariat" payable at Pune. The physical DD must reach the Symbiosis Test Secretariat office by the closing deadline of 3:00 PM on November 30, 2025.

The November 30 Deadline: A Non-Negotiable Cut-Off

The final date to complete both the application and the corresponding fee payments is Sunday, November 30, 2025. This deadline is absolute, and aspirants are strongly advised to complete the entire process well in advance to prevent any last-minute technical glitches or payment failures.

  • Consequence of Partial Payment:
    • Failing to pay the ₹1,000 program fee for a chosen campus will result in your application to that specific SLS program being rejected. Your SLAT score, regardless of how high, will not be considered for admission to that program.
    • Completing the application form and only paying the ₹2,250 SLAT Test fee is insufficient to secure admission consideration for any of the SLS campuses.
  • Key Dates for SLAT 2026 Aspirants:
    • Registration Last Date: November 30, 2025 (Sunday)
    • Admit Card Release (Test 1): December 11, 2025 (Thursday)
    • Admit Card Release (Test 2): December 18, 2025 (Thursday)
    • SLAT Exam Date (Test 1): December 20, 2025 (Saturday)
    • SLAT Exam Date (Test 2): December 28, 2025 (Sunday)

Eligibility Criteria and Important Preparation Pointers

Beyond the critical financial requirements, law aspirants must also ensure they meet the fundamental eligibility criteria and plan their preparation strategy effectively, especially with the two-test structure.

  • SLAT 2026 Eligibility Snapshot:
    • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the Standard XII (10+2) or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board.
    • Minimum Marks: A minimum of 45% marks (or equivalent grade) is required for General/OBC category candidates, and 40% marks for SC/ST category candidates.
    • Age Limit: As per the regulations laid down by the Bar Council of India (BCI), there is no upper age limit for applying to SLAT.
  • Strategic Advantage of Two Tests:
    • Candidates have the option to appear for both SLAT Test 1 and SLAT Test 2.
    • If a candidate attempts both tests, the higher score between the two will be considered for the final merit list preparation. This provides a significant opportunity for aspirants to improve their performance and secure a better percentile.
    • The selection process emphasizes the SLAT score along with performance in the subsequent Personal Interview (PI) round, as the Writing Ability Test (WAT) has been discontinued.

Conclusion: Secure Your Future by Paying on Time

The clock is unequivocally ticking for every SLAT 2026 aspirant. With the deadline of November 30, 2025, fast approaching, the emphasis must be on completing the dual-payment requirement—both the ₹2,250 application fee and the crucial ₹1,000 program fee(s). Failure to adhere to this two-part mandate will swiftly invalidate your application for the Symbiosis Law Schools, irrespective of your merit. Ensure all payments are completed on the official SLAT portal well before the cutoff time to solidify your candidature for one of the most sought-after law programs in India.
