The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Madhya Pradesh, has issued a final reminder for all candidates allotted seats in the revised Round 1 of MP NEET PG Counselling 2025. The deadline for physical reporting to the respective medical colleges for admission formalities is December 12, 2025, by 5:00 PM. Failure to complete this crucial step—which includes document verification, fee payment, and submission of the upgradation option—will result in the forfeiture of the allotted seat. Aspirants must act immediately to secure their coveted MD/MS seats and not miss this last chance to solidify their postgraduate medical careers in Madhya Pradesh.

The pursuit of a postgraduate medical degree is a journey marked by rigorous preparation, the high-stakes NEET PG examination, and the complex maze of the counselling process. For thousands of aspirants, the first hurdle—securing a seat in the MP NEET PG 2025 Round 1 counselling—has been cleared, with results declared on December 7, 2025. However, this is not the finish line. The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Madhya Pradesh, has specified a non-negotiable deadline for all successful allottees to complete the mandatory institute reporting process. With the final date set for December 12, 2025, by 5:00 PM, this serves as an urgent midway reminder for candidates to take immediate and decisive action. Neglecting this final administrative step will nullify the allotment and release the seat for subsequent rounds, a risk no aspiring specialist can afford.

Understanding the Critical Reporting Timeline

The current reporting window, from December 8 to December 12, 2025, is the only opportunity for candidates to convert their provisional seat allotment into a confirmed admission. This physical reporting process is a mandatory step that validates the online allotment through in-person document verification and the completion of financial and legal formalities.

  • Final Deadline: The absolute last time for reporting to the allotted college is December 12, 2025, at 5:00 PM.
  • Consequence of Failure: Any candidate who fails to report within this stipulated time will have their allocated seat automatically cancelled. The seat will then be moved into the vacancy pool for the next round of counselling, and the candidate will lose their claim.
  • Upgradation Option: Candidates who wish to be considered for a better seat in Round 2 must report to their Round 1 allotted college, complete all admission formalities, and explicitly submit the 'Willingness for Upgradation' option. This secures the current seat while allowing them to participate in the next round. Candidates who choose to resign their seat can also do so within this window (December 8-12), which exempts them from the seat-leaving bond and allows them to participate in Round 2.

Mandatory Documents for Physical Verification

A critical component of the reporting process is the successful verification of all requisite academic and personal documents. Aspirants must present the original copies along with two sets of self-attested photocopies of every document listed below. An incomplete set of documents can lead to the rejection of admission, even if the candidate has reported on time.

  • Allotment Letter: The final provisional allotment letter downloaded from the official DME MP portal.
  • Academic Credentials:
    • NEET PG 2025 Admit Card and NEET PG 2025 Score/Rank Card.
    • MBBS/BDS Mark Sheets (all professional exams) and Degree/Provisional Certificate.
    • Compulsory Rotatory Internship Completion Certificate (by the stipulated date).
  • Registration and Identity:
    • Permanent/Provisional Registration Certificate issued by the Medical Council of India (MCI)/National Medical Commission (NMC) or State Medical Council (SMC).
    • Valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Passport, etc.).
    • Class 10th Certificate (for Date of Birth proof).
  • Category and State-Specific Documents (If Applicable):
    • Domicile Certificate of Madhya Pradesh.
    • Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) issued by the competent authority.
    • PWD Certificate (if applicable).
    • Notarised Affidavit on Rs 500 stamp paper regarding the commitment to furnish the rural service bond/seat-leaving bond later, as per the recent DME update for Round 1 joiners seeking upgradation.

Strategic Importance for Future Rounds

Completing the Round 1 reporting is not just about securing the current seat; it is a strategic maneuver for participation in subsequent phases of the NEET PG counselling process. By reporting and opting for upgradation, a candidate secures a certainty (the current seat) while holding eligibility for a potential improvement in Round 2. This calculated step maximises the chances of securing a preferred specialisation or institution. Furthermore, understanding the revised rules concerning resignation and bonds is vital to prevent any loss of eligibility or financial penalty. For aspirants focused on MD/MS seats in institutions like MGMMC, Indore, or NSCBMC, Jabalpur, this is the final administrative formality to seal the deal.

The clock is ticking for all MP NEET PG 2025 Round 1 allottees. With the reporting window closing on December 12th, any further delay can result in the loss of a year's hard work and a highly sought-after postgraduate medical seat. Ensure all documents are verified, fees are paid, and the upgradation option is formally submitted before the deadline to secure your future in medicine.
