The highly anticipated NEET-PG 2025 Round 1 seat allotment results are now expected to be announced shortly on the official website, medadmgujarat.org. Aspirants must keep their login credentials ready to access their allotment status for MD, MS, and Diploma courses. This is a critical stage leading to the physical reporting and securing of coveted postgraduate medical seats in the state.

The anxious wait for thousands of postgraduate medical aspirants in Gujarat is set to end soon. The Admission Committee for Professional Postgraduate Medical Education Courses (ACPPGMEC) of Gujarat has formally concluded the choice filling and locking process for the NEET-PG 2025 Round 1 counselling. Due to high demand

and ensuring maximum opportunity for candidates, the deadline for candidates to register and lock their preferred college and course options was extended multiple times, finally closing on the morning of December 1, 2025. This intensive and prolonged process is a testament to the high competition for the state’s limited MD, MS, and PG Diploma seats.

With the choice data now secured and sealed, the ACPPGMEC machinery is actively engaged in the complex, merit-based processing of the allotment. While an official, specific date for the result announcement has not yet been published as of today, December 2, 2025, the allotment results are expected to be announced on the official website, medadmgujarat.org, within the next few days. Aspirants are strongly advised to regularly check the official portal and prepare for the immediate subsequent steps, including fee payment and physical reporting to the allotted institutions.

The Allotment Logic: How Seats Are Determined Post-Locking

The processing of the Gujarat NEET-PG Round 1 seat allotment is a complex, computer-driven procedure designed for precision, transparency, and fairness. Understanding this mechanism is vital for all aspirants.

  • State Merit Rank Precedence: The primary factor governing the allotment is the candidate's rank on the Gujarat NEET-PG 2025 State Merit List. The seat allotment process begins with the candidate holding the highest rank and proceeds downwards.
  • The Power of Choices: The system attempts to match the candidate's rank and eligibility with their submitted preferences. The order of choices is paramount.
    • The software first checks the candidate's Choice No. 1. If a seat is available in the respective category (Government, Management, NRI) at that preferred college and branch, the seat is provisionally allotted.
    • If Choice No. 1 is unavailable, the system moves to Choice No. 2, and so on, until the highest possible preference is secured.
    • Since the final options are locked, this sequence is irreversible and forms the basis of the first round cut-offs.
  • Reservation and Seat Matrix: The allotment process rigorously adheres to the latest Gujarat State Reservation Policy for various categories (SC, ST, SEBC, EWS, and PwD). Furthermore, the allotment is based on the finalized Seat Matrix detailing all available MD/MS/Diploma seats across Government and Self-Financed institutions in the state.

Post-Allotment Roadmap: Crucial Steps for Selected Candidates

The seat allotment is only the halfway point; the next phase involves mandatory admission formalities that must be completed within a very short, non-negotiable window. Aspirants must be prepared for swift action immediately upon the announcement of the result.

  • Immediate Download of Allotment Letter: As soon as the results are live, candidates must log into the ACPPGMEC portal (medadmgujarat.org), view their allotment status, and download the Provisional Allotment Letter. This document is essential for all further steps.
  • Online Fee Payment: Candidates who are satisfied with their allotment and wish to secure the seat must pay the prescribed tuition fee online within the stipulated timeframe, which will be specified in the official notification.
    • Failure to pay the fee within the deadline will lead to the automatic cancellation of the allotted seat.
    • For candidates opting for upgradation, the fee paid in Round 1 will be adjusted in the subsequent round.
  • Mandatory Physical Reporting: Following the fee payment, candidates must physically report to the designated Help Centre (for document verification) and then to the allotted Medical College within the announced dates to complete the final admission process.
    • Candidates must carry all original documents (including NEET-PG Score Card, MBBS Marksheets, Internship Certificate, Registration Certificate, Domicile, Caste/EWS Certificates, and the Allotment Letter) along with multiple sets of photocopies.
    • Candidates who report and complete the formalities are deemed to have secured the seat. Those who choose not to report will forfeit their claim on the Round 1 seat.

Strategizing for Round 2 and Upgradation

Aspirants who secure a seat in Round 1 will have two primary options, both of which require careful consideration.

  • Final Admission: Candidates satisfied with the college and specialisation can complete all formalities, secure the seat, and will not be considered for the subsequent rounds.
  • Option for Upgradation: Candidates who join the allotted college in Round 1 but wish to try for a higher preference filled in their initial choice list can opt for upgradation.
    • By choosing this option, the candidate retains their Round 1 seat provisionally while being considered for their better-preferred choices in Round 2.
    • If a better seat is allotted in Round 2, the Round 1 seat is automatically released. If no better seat is secured, the Round 1 seat remains confirmed.

Conclusion

The closure of the choice locking window on December 1, 2025, marks the final hurdle before the highly anticipated Gujarat NEET-PG 2025 Round 1 seat allotment results. Aspirants should remain vigilant, continuously checking the ACPPGMEC's official website, medadmgujarat.org, for the imminent notification. Success in this round is a direct result of meticulous planning and performance, and the next few days are critical for securing a postgraduate medical career in Gujarat. Be prepared to act swiftly upon the result announcement.
