The moment of truth is fast approaching for thousands of medical and dental aspirants. AIIMS, New Delhi, is set to announce the INI CET January 2026 Mock Round Seat Allocation Result on December 11, 2025. This crucial step allows candidates to gauge their chances for admission into top postgraduate programs like MD, MS, DM, MCh, and MDS across prestigious Institutes of National Importance (INIs) including AIIMS, JIPMER, PGIMER, NIMHANS, and SCTIMST. Aspirants must check the provisional allotment, which is based on their preferences submitted during the mock choice filling phase (December 6-9, 2025). Use this result to strategically re-evaluate and lock choices for the upcoming Round 1 counselling to secure your dream seat.

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, the conducting body for the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI CET), is scheduled to release the Mock Round Seat Allocation Result for the January 2026 session on December 11, 2025. This announcement is highly anticipated by over 32,000 qualified candidates aspiring for admission into postgraduate medical and dental courses at premier institutions across India. This mock allotment is a vital, non-binding exercise designed to provide candidates with a realistic estimate of the seat they may secure based on their rank and the preferences they have entered. It serves as a crucial feedback mechanism before the final choice filling for Round 1 commences.

The allocation process covers a wide range of specialized courses, including MD (Doctor of Medicine), MS (Master of Surgery), MCh (Magister Chirurgiae) (6-year), DM (Doctorate of Medicine) (6-year), and MDS (Master of Dental Surgery) across all participating Institutes of National Importance (INIs). Candidates who participated in the mock choice filling from December 6 to December 9, 2025, must check their allotment status on the official AIIMS counselling portal, aiimsexams.ac.in.

How to Check Your Mock Allotment Result

The mock result will be published online, and candidates must follow a simple procedure to access their provisional seat allocation. This process is entirely paperless, emphasizing digital efficiency in the counselling phases.

  • Visit the Official Portal: Navigate to the official website for AIIMS Examinations.
  • Locate the INI CET Link: Find and click on the specific link for the INI CET January 2026 Counselling or Seat Allocation Portal.
  • Log in Securely: Use your registered INI CET Candidate ID and Password (or Mobile Number) to log in to your applicant dashboard.
  • Access the Result: Click on the link for the Mock Round Seat Allocation Result or Provisional Allotment List.
  • View and Download: Your allotment status, including the tentatively allotted Institute and Specialty, will be displayed. It is advisable to download and print this provisional result for future reference and strategic planning for the next rounds.

Significance of the Mock Seat Allocation

The Mock Allotment Round is not a final commitment, but its importance for a candidate’s ultimate selection strategy cannot be overstated. It provides a real-time simulation based on the choices and ranks of all participating candidates, mirroring the final allotment process.

  • Understanding Cutoffs: The mock result gives you a clear indication of the closing ranks for various disciplines and institutes. If your allocated seat is a lower preference than expected, it suggests the higher choices are highly competitive for your rank, prompting a critical re-evaluation.
  • Refining Your Preferences: Based on the mock allotment, candidates get an invaluable chance to re-order, add, or delete their choices before the final submission for Round 1. It is the best opportunity to make your preference list more realistic and strategic.
  • Eliminating Errors: It helps identify technical errors, such as forgetting to add a preferred institute or specialty, ensuring a complete and accurate final choice list.

Key Dates for INI CET January 2026 Counselling

Aspirants must strictly adhere to the official schedule to avoid missing out on their opportunity. The dates following the Mock Allotment are crucial for the first phase of final seat allocation.

  • Mock Round Seat Allocation Result: December 11, 2025
  • Exercising/Finalizing Choices for Round 1: December 12 to December 13, 2025 (up to 5:00 PM)
  • Announcement of Round 1 Seat Allocation Result: December 18, 2025
  • Online Acceptance/Reporting to Institute (Round 1): December 19 (11:00 AM) to December 24, 2025 (up to 5:00 PM)

The entire counselling process, including subsequent rounds (Round 2), is conducted online. Failure to participate in the choice-filling phase or not reporting to the allotted institute in the initial rounds as per the rules will lead to the forfeiture of the seat and potential ineligibility for further rounds. Ensure all your documents, especially valid category certificates for reserved seats (OBC, EWS, SC, ST, PwBD), are ready, as incorrect documentation is a common reason for disqualification.
