Who is Eligible for the Stray Vacancy Round?
The stray vacancy round is typically open to candidates who have qualified for the NEET UG 2025 examination and meet the minimum eligibility criteria but have not yet been allotted or held any seat in the previous rounds of AACCC or State/UT counselling. Candidates who exited earlier rounds—including those who opted for a "Free Exit" after Round 1 or forfeited their seats before Round 3—may also be eligible to re-register and participate, often requiring a fresh payment of the full counselling fee (registration fee and security deposit).
