The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) of Puducherry has published the revised draft merit list for the NEET PG 2025 counselling, following scrutiny of objections and inclusion of newly registered candidates. This crucial revision precedes the final seat allotment round for both Government and Private medical college seats under the Union Territory's quota. Candidates are advised to check the official CENTAC website immediately.

The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), Puducherry, has taken a decisive step forward in the postgraduate medical admission process by releasing the Revised Draft Merit Order for the NEET PG 2025 counselling session. This action comes after the committee meticulously addressed the representations and objections raised by candidates following the release of the initial draft merit list.

The revision includes the incorporation of the scores and details of candidates whose documents were verified post-objection submission, ensuring a fair and comprehensive listing before the final seat allocation begins. This list is the bedrock upon which the subsequent seat allotment rounds for MD/MS courses in Puducherry's Government and Self-Financing Medical Colleges will be conducted.

I. Final Revision and Impending Allotment Schedule

The release of the revised list signals the immediate commencement of the final allocation phases. Candidates must note the critical window for raising final grievances, if any, and prepare for the upcoming allotment rounds.

  • Revised Draft Merit Release Date: The new merit list was published on December 4, 2025, on the official CENTAC portal, centac.py.gov.in.
  • Final Objection Window: Candidates have been given a very narrow window to raise any last-minute discrepancies or corrections. This period typically closes within 24 to 48 hours of the list's publication.
  • Final Merit List Publication: The Final Merit List, which will be the basis for all seat allotments, is expected to be released shortly after the objection window closes, likely by December 6, 2025.
  • Mock Allotment/Round 1 Schedule: CENTAC is expected to announce the schedule for the Mock Allotment and the First Round of Online Seat Allotment immediately following the Final Merit List publication.

II. Verification and Eligibility Protocols

The revised list is critical as it confirms the eligibility and rank status of all candidates registered under the Puducherry quota.

  • Basis of Merit: The merit order is exclusively based on the NEET PG 2025 All India Rank (AIR) of the candidates. CENTAC ranks candidates based on their NEET PG scores, applying the reservation policies specific to the Union Territory.
  • Inclusion Status: The revised list includes all candidates who registered successfully with CENTAC and whose documents, including domicile certificates and category certificates (OBC/SC/ST/EWS), have been physically verified and deemed correct.
  • Exclusion Warning: Candidates whose names are not included in the Revised Draft Merit List, despite registration, are considered ineligible for counselling until their application issues or document deficiencies are resolved. Such candidates must contact the CENTAC helpdesk immediately.
  • Checking Procedure: Candidates must use their application number and password to log in to the CENTAC portal, download the revised merit order, and verify their Name, NEET PG AIR, Category, and CENTAC Rank/Merit Number.

III. Strategic Importance for Seat Allocation

The accurate and final merit list is the most crucial document, as it directly governs the allocation of seats under the various quotas in Puducherry.

  • Seats Under Consideration: The counselling process covers the Government Quota seats and the Management Quota seats in both Government and Private Medical Colleges affiliated with CENTAC in the Union Territory.
  • Reservation Policy: Seat allocation strictly adheres to the reservation policy of the Government of Puducherry, which includes specific quotas for Puducherry Residents, Other Backward Classes (OBC), Scheduled Castes (SC), and EWS categories.
  • Next Step: Choice Filling: Once the Final Merit List is published, the next immediate and mandatory step will be the commencement of the Online Choice Filling and Locking process for Round 1 of counselling. Candidates must research colleges and specialities thoroughly before locking their choices.
  • Mandate for Allotment: Only candidates listed in the Final Merit Order will be eligible to fill choices, participate in the seat allotment, and be considered for admission to the available MD/MS seats.

The immediate task for all registered PG medical aspirants in Puducherry is to check the newly released Revised Draft Merit Order on centac.py.gov.in. Any valid objections must be submitted within the specified timeline to ensure their candidature is accurately reflected before the Final Merit List is locked for the seat allotment process.
