NMAT 2026 Registration Window Ended on October 10: Slot Booking Open Till October 22

GMAC has extended the last date to fill the NMAT 2026 application form to October 25, 2026. The slot booking deadline has also been extended to October 25, 2026. Candidates who have not registered yet can now apply through the official GMAC portal, mba.com.

Add these lines only if you have confirmed them:

• Whether NMIMS’s NMAT-linked application deadline has also moved. It was October 10 earlier [VERIFY].
• Whether the exam window (Nov 2 to Dec 20) and the rescheduling date (Dec 17) are unchanged [VERIFY].

1. Log in to the official GMAC portal.
2. Check your application details, including spellings and aggregate marks, against your original documents.
3. Confirm your payment went through and save the receipt.
4. Download your confirmation document.
5. Book your exam slot before October 22.

If test slots at your nearest city centre are fully booked, try these options:

• Check nearby cities for available slots.
• Consider the online proctored option, if it suits you.
• Recheck the scheduling portal regularly. Cancelled or rescheduled seats sometimes open up before the test dates.

Slot booking closes on October 22, so don’t wait too long.

If you face a technical error while submitting your NMAT application, contact GMAC’s candidate support. Use the support email or helpline numbers listed on your registration dashboard.

When you write in, include:

• Your registered email ID
• Your full name
• Your contact number
• Screenshots showing the error message

Save these documents until the exam and admissions process is complete:

• Application summary PDF with your NMAT ID
• Payment receipt showing the transaction reference number
• Admit card copy, once slot booking is finished
• Login credentials and email confirmations from GMAC
• Receipts for any additional school selections

Verbal and critical reasoning make up a substantial part of the Logical Reasoning section, so it pays to practise them well.

• Break down short arguments. Identify the premises, the underlying assumptions and the conclusion.
• Watch for weak reasoning. Look for gaps in logic and shifts in scope.
• Be careful with inference questions. Eliminate options that overstate what the passage supports.

The Language Skills section gives you 28 minutes for 36 questions, so time per passage matters. Spend no more than 3 to 4 minutes reading each one.

• Start with the first and last paragraphs. They usually state the central argument and the conclusion.
• Skim the middle paragraphs. Look for supporting evidence so you can answer factual questions quickly.
• Move on if you’re stuck. Don’t let one passage eat into the other questions in the section.

The exam runs for 120 minutes, so practise full-length mocks in one sitting. Sit somewhere quiet and don’t pause, check your phone, or leave your seat.

No new NMAT 2026 registrations after October 10. No extension has been announced.

• First attempt: register by October 10. No waiting gap.
• Retake: book after your previous attempt, with at least 15 days between attempts. Each retake has its own fee.
• Limit: three attempts in total, so one attempt and up to two retakes.

Scheduling ends on October 22. The exam window runs until December 20.

You see an unofficial score as soon as you submit the exam, and the official scorecard with overall and sectional scaled scores follows within 48 hours. Download it from your dashboard once GMAC emails you. 

An early date leaves time to review your score and book a retake if you need one. A later date gives you more study time but fewer retake options before college deadlines.

Upload a recent, clear, front-facing photo. Avoid selfies, filtered pictures, hats, dark sunglasses and face coverings. Test centre staff may match it with the one on your admit card.

If you complete Quantitative Skills early, the leftover time is lost once you submit. Use it to review your answers.

NMAT is a computer-based test with a separate timer for each section. Once you submit a section or its time runs out, you can’t go back to it.

Sit a full-length NMAT mock under strict timing. It sets your baseline across Quantitative Skills, Language Skills and Logical Reasoning, and shows which topics to revise before test day.

• Language Skills: about 46 seconds. Clear grammar and vocabulary fast to save time for passages.
• Quantitative Skills: about 86 seconds. Do standalone arithmetic first, then the Data Interpretation sets.
• Logical Reasoning: about 66 seconds. Take direct verbal questions first and don’t get stuck on one puzzle.

36 questions, 40 minutes, a mix of Verbal and Analytical Reasoning.
