GATE 2027 Registration Ends October 12: Check Late-Period Fees

Candidates can submit GATE 2027 applications during the extended registration period until October 12, 2026, according to IIT Madras. The regular registration period closed on October 5.

Check eligibility before applying
The general eligibility rule covers candidates in the third or higher year of an undergraduate programme, or holders of an approved degree in the listed disciplines. Applicants should check the qualification-specific eligibility table, including any professional-equivalence conditions.

Upload documents in the prescribed formats and pay the applicable fee.
Review the submitted application and retain the confirmation and payment record.
IIT Madras allows an unverified DigiLocker account as an alternative, with later scrutiny and original-document verification at the examination venue. A verified account is recommended. Do not delete the DigiLocker account used for your application, even after payment.
The registration fee is non-refundable; the guidelines provide for refunds of duplicate transactions with valid proof. Candidates with visual impairments facing live facial-capture problems should contact helpdesk@gate.iitm.ac.in.
