The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) has opened NMAT 2026 registration on its official website. Candidates can apply online through mba.com from August 20 to October 10, 2026. The NMAT 2026 exam will be conducted from November 2 to December 20, 2026. Candidates can book their test slots until October 22, 2026. The exam is accepted by more than 58 business schools in India, with test centres available across more than 70 cities.

NMAT 2026 Registration Fee

The base NMAT 2026 registration fee is Rs 3,000 plus applicable taxes. This fee includes score reports sent to five participating B-school programmes. Payment must be made online through the official portal. Accepted payment modes include debit cards, credit cards, and net banking. Registration fees are non-refundable for candidates from India and neighbouring countries. The fee is the same for all category candidates.

NMAT 2026 Retake Policy

1. Candidates can appear for the NMAT exam up to three times during the testing window.
2. Candidates must pay an additional ₹3,000 plus applicable taxes for each retake.
3. Candidates cannot take the exam on two consecutive days.
4. Multiple registrations for the same slot are not permitted.
5. The application fee may be forfeited in case of multiple registration for the same slot.
6. The best score among all attempts will be reported to participating business schools.

NMAT 2026 Exam Pattern

1. NMAT is conducted as a computer-based test with three sections in a single examination.
2. Candidates can take the exam at an authorised test centre or through online proctoring.
3. The preferred test mode can be selected while booking the slot.
4. Candidates can choose the order of the three sections at the beginning of the exam.
5. There is no negative marking.
6. Unofficial scores are available immediately after completing the examination.

How to Register for NMAT 2026?

Candidates can complete the registration process online by following these steps:

1. Visit the official NMAT website at mba.com/exams/nmat.
2. Register on the official portal.
3. Fill in the online application form with the required details.
4. Upload the necessary documents.
5. Pay the ₹3,000 application fee plus applicable taxes through the available payment options.
6. Submit the application form.
7. Book the preferred exam slot on a first-come, first-served basis.
8. Download the admit card after completing the slot booking process.

NMAT 2026 Slot Rescheduling

Candidates can change their exam slot only once. The rescheduling request must be submitted at least 72 hours before the scheduled test date. A rescheduling fee of ₹1,200 plus applicable taxes will be charged for each request.
