NMAT 2026 Registration Closes Today, October 10: Direct Link, Fee and Slot Booking Deadline

The exam runs for 120 minutes, so practise full-length mocks in one sitting. Sit somewhere quiet and don’t pause, check your phone, or leave your seat.

No new NMAT 2026 registrations after October 10. No extension has been announced.

• First attempt: register by October 10. No waiting gap.
• Retake: book after your previous attempt, with at least 15 days between attempts. Each retake has its own fee.
• Limit: three attempts in total, so one attempt and up to two retakes.

Scheduling ends on October 22. The exam window runs until December 20.

You see an unofficial score as soon as you submit the exam, and the official scorecard with overall and sectional scaled scores follows within 48 hours. Download it from your dashboard once GMAC emails you. 

An early date leaves time to review your score and book a retake if you need one. A later date gives you more study time but fewer retake options before college deadlines.

Upload a recent, clear, front-facing photo. Avoid selfies, filtered pictures, hats, dark sunglasses and face coverings. Test centre staff may match it with the one on your admit card.

If you complete Quantitative Skills early, the leftover time is lost once you submit. Use it to review your answers.

NMAT is a computer-based test with a separate timer for each section. Once you submit a section or its time runs out, you can’t go back to it.

Sit a full-length NMAT mock under strict timing. It sets your baseline across Quantitative Skills, Language Skills and Logical Reasoning, and shows which topics to revise before test day.

• Language Skills: about 46 seconds. Clear grammar and vocabulary fast to save time for passages.
• Quantitative Skills: about 86 seconds. Do standalone arithmetic first, then the Data Interpretation sets.
• Logical Reasoning: about 66 seconds. Take direct verbal questions first and don’t get stuck on one puzzle.

36 questions, 40 minutes, a mix of Verbal and Analytical Reasoning.

• Grammar: error spotting, sentence correction, subject-verb agreement

Many candidates assume the exam covers it. You must fill the NMIMS form yourself, whatever your percentile.

Check your name, date of birth, and email before submitting, because they can’t be changed afterwards. Minor contact updates need a GMAC support ticket.

NMAT has no negative marking for incorrect answers. Candidates should attempt all questions within the sectional time limit, as unanswered questions receive no marks and cannot be revisited once the section timer expires.

The NMAT by GMAC exam comprises 108 questions across three sections, with a total duration of 120 minutes.

During slot booking, candidates must select their preferred exam city, test centre, and exam date. They must appear at the allotted centre on the scheduled date and time.

Ensure your name matches your government-issued photo ID exactly. Discrepancies between your admit card and original ID may lead to issues during test-centre verification or prevent entry.

After fee payment, candidates can select their preferred exam date through the scheduling tab. Slots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so early booking improves the chances of securing the preferred test centre and time slot.
