The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has reminded affiliated schools to submit accurate List of Candidates (LOC) data for the 2026–27 Class 10 and Class 12 examinations by October 21, 2026, in a notice issued on October 9.
Principals have been asked to follow earlier circulars, brief staff who enter student information, and explain to parents why wrong records can cause problems. The reminder does not announce a deadline extension.
Key dates
- LOC submission opened: September 24, 2026, on the Pariksha Sangam portal.
- Last date without late fee: October 21 for digital payment and October 17 for challan payment.
- Late-fee period: October 22 to 30, 2026, with a late fee of ₹2,000 per candidate.
- Correction window: reported for early November 2026.
Why accuracy matters
The LOC is the list of students a school registers for the board examinations. One report says only students named in the online LOC may sit the exams. Schools must also update data on the OASIS and HPE portals before submitting the LOC.
Class 10 students must appear in the first board examination, so the LOC for it covers every candidate. The Class 12 LOC is submitted while students are still in Class 11. The examination fee is ₹1,600 for five subjects.
What students and parents can do
- Ask your school how to review the examination details recorded for you.
- Flag any mismatch promptly to the staff handling LOC submission.
- Confirm the school’s own checking deadline so there is time to resolve an issue.
LOC submission is handled by the school, not by students or parents.
Official sources
Schools should read the official CBSE reminder alongside the earlier instructions and monitor the CBSE notices page for amendments.
