The National Law University (NLU), Delhi, has announced the official schedule for the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2026, the gateway for admission to its prestigious undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs. While the university has started inviting applications, the online registration portal is scheduled to open on August 7, 2025.
The detailed admission brochure, which will contain comprehensive information on the application process, eligibility criteria, and examination pattern, is also expected to be released around the same date. The AILET is the sole entrance exam for admission to NLU Delhi's B.A.LL.B. (Hons.), one-year LL.M., and Ph.D. programs, as the university does not participate in the CLAT consortium.
Revised Schedule and Key Dates:
Aspirants should take note of a revised schedule from NLU Delhi, which was updated to avoid a clash with the CLAT 2026 exam date. The AILET 2026 exam will now be conducted on Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
The key dates for the application process are:
- Application Portal Opens: August 7, 2025
- Last Date to Submit Application: November 10, 2025
- AILET 2026 Exam Date: December 14, 2025
The university is known for its rigorous entrance test and a limited number of seats, with 120 seats available for the B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) program this year. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria must register and apply online through the official NLU Delhi website.
Aspirants are advised to keep a close watch on the official NLU Delhi website, nludelhi.ac.in, for the release of the official brochure and the activation of the application link on August 7.
