The examination is held for candidates seeking admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered through NIFT campuses. NIFT 2027 Exam Date: What NTA Has Announced

The NTA Examination Calendar 2026-27 lists the proposed dates for several major examinations scheduled during the 2026-27 academic cycle. NTA has clarified that the dates mentioned in the calendar are tentative and may be revised because of administrative, logistical, academic, statutory or other unforeseen circumstances. Therefore, candidates should currently treat January 10, 2027 as the examination date announced in the calendar, while waiting for the detailed NIFT 2027 notification for final examination-related instructions.

The detailed notification is expected to provide information on:

• NIFT 2027 eligibility criteria
• Application form and registration dates
• Application fee
• Examination pattern
• Syllabus
• Category-wise requirements
• Important instructions for applicants
• Correction facility, if applicable
• Admit card and examination-related schedule

Is NIFT 2027 Registration Open?

No. The NIFT 2027 application schedule has not yet been announced through the NTA Examination Calendar. The calendar only provides the proposed examination date. Candidates should wait for the detailed NIFT 2027 notification before considering registration dates or application deadlines as confirmed. Once registration begins, applicants will have to complete the application process through the examination portal designated by NTA for NIFT.

How to Apply for NIFT 2027?

The exact NIFT 2027 application procedure will be confirmed in the official notification. Based on the standard online examination application process, candidates can expect the process to involve the following stages:

1. Visit the official NTA NIFT examination portal once registration opens.
2. Complete the candidate registration using the required personal details.
3. Fill in the NIFT 2027 application form.
4. Enter academic and communication details.
5. Upload the photograph, signature and other documents in the prescribed format.
6. Pay the applicable examination fee through the available online payment modes.
7. Review the information entered in the application form.
8. Submit the application.
9. Download and save the confirmation page for future reference.

Note: The above is a general application workflow. The final process, document specifications, fee and payment instructions should be taken from the NIFT 2027 information bulletin.

NIFT 2027 Application Fee

The NIFT 2027 examination fee has not yet been announced. Candidates should not treat the fee from an earlier NIFT admission cycle as the confirmed fee for 2027. NTA will specify the applicable fee and category-wise payment details in the detailed notification.

NIFT 2027 Exam Pattern

The detailed NIFT 2027 examination pattern has not yet been released through the NTA Examination Calendar. Candidates should therefore avoid treating information circulating on third-party websites as the final 2027 pattern. The official notification is expected to specify the applicable test components, duration, number of questions, marking scheme and other examination instructions. Similarly, the NIFT 2027 syllabus should be checked against the official notification once released.

NIFT 2027 Eligibility

The NTA calendar does not provide the eligibility criteria for NIFT 2027. Candidates should wait for the detailed notification for programme-wise requirements, including the qualifying examination, age-related conditions, final-year eligibility and other admission requirements. Since eligibility can differ according to the programme, candidates should check the requirements for the specific NIFT course they intend to apply for.

NIFT 2026 vs NIFT 2027 Exam Date

The NIFT 2027 examination is currently scheduled earlier in the calendar year than the previous cycle.

The current schedule places the NIFT 2027 examination nearly one month earlier than the NIFT 2026 examination date. For Class 12 students, the earlier entrance examination date may require them to manage NIFT preparation alongside their board examination preparation. Candidates should therefore plan their preparation timeline around the currently announced January examination date while keeping track of any subsequent NTA updates.

What Should NIFT 2027 Aspirants Do Now?

1. Note the examination date

Candidates should mark January 10, 2027 in their preparation calendar.

2. Do not wait for the application form to begin preparation

Aspirants can begin working on the relevant NIFT preparation areas rather than waiting for the registration notification.

3. Follow official announcements

Candidates should regularly check the NTA website and the official NIFT examination portal for the detailed notification.

4. Keep basic documents ready

Candidates can keep commonly required documents, photographs, signatures and academic information ready for the application process.

5. Verify the eligibility requirements

Programme-specific eligibility should be checked once NTA releases the NIFT 2027 information bulletin.

6. Avoid relying on unofficial deadlines

The registration opening date, last date, fee, correction window, admit card date and other schedule details should be considered confirmed only after NTA officially publishes them.
