Final or Provisional? What the Source Says

There's a genuine inconsistency in how this result is described. The headline and opening line call it the "final seat allotment result," but the detailed instructions for downloading it refer to a link titled "NEET UG Round 2 Provisional Result 2026." Since NEET UG counselling has historically involved a provisional result stage (allowing for corrections) before a confirmed list, candidates should not assume either label with certainty. The safest approach is to check the exact wording used on mcc.nic.in itself at the time of viewing, rather than relying on either term used interchangeably in early reports.

What's Not Yet Confirmed

The following details are not available in current reporting and should be checked directly on mcc.nic.in:

• The exact reporting or joining deadline for candidates allotted a seat in Round 2
• The process for candidates who wish to upgrade their allotment or were not allotted a seat this round
• Whether a Round 3 or mop-up round follows, and its schedule

Official Website

All updates — the result PDF, individual login-based status, and any correction to the final/provisional terminology — will be published on mcc.nic.in. Candidates should treat that portal as the authoritative source over any secondary report, including this one, for the final/provisional distinction.
