Result to Be Released as PDF
According to the latest updates, the NEET result 2026 will be published in two parts. First, a detailed result PDF will be uploaded to the website, containing the category-wise cut off marks, the toppers list, the Top 100 All India Rank (AIR) holders, and state-wise performance data. Separately, candidates will get access to their individual NEET scorecards, which can be downloaded after logging in with their credentials on the official portal.

Marking Scheme and Bonus Marks
The NEET exam follows a marking scheme of +4 for every correct answer, -1 for every incorrect answer, and 0 for unattempted questions. Additionally, NTA has confirmed provisions for bonus marks in two scenarios — if a question is dropped, all candidates who appeared for the exam will receive +4 marks; and if a question is found to have two correct answers, candidates who selected either of the two options will be awarded +4 marks.
Tie-Breaking Rules
In case multiple candidates score the same marks, NTA will apply tie-breaking criteria in the following order: higher marks in Biology (Botany & Zoology), followed by higher marks in Chemistry, then Physics, and finally a lower proportion of incorrect-to-correct answers across all subjects and individual sections.

Exam Pattern
