The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the crucial deadlines for the NEET UG 2025 Round 3 (Mop-Up Round) counselling for admission to the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) MBBS and BDS seats. Aspirants must note that this round is a final, critical opportunity to secure a seat, with strict deadlines for registration and choice filling.

The window for registration and payment will close at 12:00 Noon on Sunday, October 5, 2025. Simultaneously, the facility for online choice filling and locking will conclude at 11:55 PM on the same day. Candidates must prioritize completing both processes well before the final minutes to avoid technical glitches.

What Aspirants Need to Know for Round 3:

  • Eligibility: This round is open to fresh candidates, those who were not allotted a seat in Rounds 1 or 2, and those who exited earlier rounds (with forfeiture of security deposit, if applicable).
  • No Resignation: A critical rule for Round 3 is that once a seat is allotted and the candidate joins the college, they will not be allowed to resign or participate in any further counselling rounds (including State or Institutional Stray Vacancy rounds).
  • Strategic Choice Filling: Given the high stakes of the Mop-Up Round, aspirants are strongly advised to fill in the maximum possible number of choices, from aspirational colleges to 'safe' options based on previous year's cut-offs, to maximize their chance of allotment.
  • Result Date: The Round 3 seat allotment results are expected to be published on the official MCC website on October 8, 2025. Allotted candidates must report to their respective colleges between October 9 and October 17, 2025, to confirm admission.

This is the decisive moment for medical aspirants. Check the official MCC portal frequently and prepare all necessary documents for admission verification. For regular updates on admission process changes and schedules, follow Only Education News.
