The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced a revised schedule for the NEET UG 2025 Round 1 counselling, with the seat allotment result now expected to be declared on August 11, 2025. This is a change from the previous schedule, which had a tentative release date of today, August 9. This latest revision follows an extension of the choice filling and locking deadline to today, August 9, 2025, at 11:59 pm.

This is a critical update for all candidates vying for a seat in MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc. Nursing programs under the All India Quota (AIQ) and other central institutions. Aspirants are advised to use this extended time to re-verify and lock their choices carefully, as this will determine their seat allotment. The official notice and revised schedule are available on the MCC's website at mcc.nic.in.

How to Check Your Result and What Happens Next

Once the results are released on August 11, candidates can check their allotment status on the official website. The process is as follows:

  1. Visit the official MCC website.
  2. Navigate to the NEET UG Counselling section.
  3. Click on the "Round 1 Seat Allotment Result" link.
  4. Log in using your NEET Roll Number and password.
  5. View your provisional allotment letter.

After the results, candidates will have two main options:

  • Accept and Freeze: If you are satisfied with the allotted seat and do not wish to participate in subsequent rounds, you can choose to freeze the seat. You must then download the provisional allotment letter and report to the college between August 11 and August 18, 2025, for document verification and admission.
  • Accept with Upgradation: This option allows you to accept the allotted seat while also expressing interest in being considered for a higher preference in Round 2. You must still report to the allotted college and complete the admission formalities. If you are allotted a better seat in a later round, the previous seat will be automatically forfeited.

Candidates who do not report to their allotted college within the deadline will have their seat automatically forfeited and will be considered for a "free exit," allowing them to participate in Round 2 without losing their security deposit.
