Today, July 31, is the last day for NEET UG 2025 Round 1 counselling registration, fee payment, and choice filling/locking on the MCC portal. Urgent deadlines for MBBS/BDS aspirants.

For lakhs of medical aspirants across India, today, July 31, 2025, marks the absolute final opportunity to complete crucial formalities for NEET UG 2025 Round 1 All India Quota (AIQ) counselling. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has set stringent deadlines for registration, fee payment, choice filling, and choice locking, emphasizing the urgency for all eligible candidates.

This first round of counselling facilitates admissions to MBBS and BDS courses under the 15% All India Quota in government medical and dental colleges, 100% seats in Deemed/Central Universities, AIIMS, JIPMER, ESIC, and AFMC (for registration only).

Critical Deadlines for July 31, 2025:

Candidates must ensure they adhere to the following precise timings as per MCC's extended schedule:

  • Registration Window: Closes today at 12:00 PM (Noon). Fresh registrations will not be possible after this time.
  • Payment Window: Closes today at 03:00 PM (3 PM). The counselling registration fee must be successfully paid by this deadline.
  • Choice Filling: Available until 11:55 PM (11:55 PM) tonight. Aspirants can fill their preferred colleges and courses in order of priority.
  • Choice Locking: The window for locking choices is active from 04:00 PM (4 PM) until 11:55 PM (11:55 PM) tonight.

Crucial Note on Choice Locking: It is highly recommended that candidates manually lock their choices. While the system usually auto-locks the last saved choices after the deadline, manually locking ensures that the preferences are confirmed without any last-minute discrepancies. Once choices are locked, they cannot be modified.

Next Steps After Today:

Following the conclusion of choice locking, the MCC will proceed with the seat allotment process:

  • Seat Allotment Processing: August 1 – August 2, 2025
  • Round 1 Result Declaration (Provisional & Final): Expected between August 3 – August 4, 2025
  • Reporting to Allotted Colleges: August 4 – August 8, 2025 (as per institute schedules)

Candidates who are allotted a seat in Round 1 will need to download their provisional allotment letter from the MCC website. They must then report to the assigned college within the stipulated dates with all necessary original documents for verification and completion of admission formalities.

Essential Documents for Reporting (Illustrative List):

While online registration requires scanned copies, physical reporting demands original documents. Candidates should keep the following ready:

  • NEET UG 2025 Admit Card
  • NEET UG 2025 Scorecard/Rank Letter
  • Provisional Allotment Letter (downloaded from MCC website)
  • Class 10th Certificate & Marksheet (for Date of Birth proof)
  • Class 12th Certificate & Marksheet
  • Eight (8) Passport size photographs (same as affixed on the application form)
  • Proof of Identity (Aadhaar Card/PAN Card/Driving License/Passport)
  • Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS, if applicable), in the prescribed format and issued by the competent authority. (OBC-NCL and EWS certificates usually require a recent date of issue, typically after April 1, 2025).
  • PwD Certificate (if applicable)
  • Domicile Certificate (for state quota admissions, if participating in state counselling later)
  • Undertakings/Bonds as per college requirements (e.g., Anti-Ragging Affidavit)

Aspirants are strongly advised to visit the official Medical Counselling Committee website, mcc.nic.in, for the latest notifications, detailed schedule, and comprehensive instructions. Missing today's deadlines will result in forfeiture of participation in this crucial first round of counselling.
