The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has extended the reporting deadline for Round 1 of NEET UG 2025 counselling, providing more time for aspiring doctors to secure their seats. This comes as aspirants eagerly await the schedule for Round 2.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has provided a crucial update for thousands of medical aspirants participating in the NEET UG 2025 counselling process. In a move aimed at assisting students with their admission formalities, the reporting deadline for Round 1 has been extended. This decision comes after the provisional seat allotment result for Round 1 was declared on August 12, 2025, allotting seats to 26,608 candidates in various medical, dental, and B.Sc. Nursing programs across India. The extension is a significant relief for students who faced logistical challenges or needed more time to complete their document verification and fee payment.

The MCC has advised all candidates who were allotted a seat in Round 1 to download their official allotment letters from the mcc.nic.in website and complete the reporting process at their designated college by the revised deadline. It is a mandatory step, and failure to comply may lead to the forfeiture of the allotted seat. Aspiring students must ensure all required documents, including the provisional allotment letter, admit card, scorecard, and mark sheets, are in order before visiting the college. What's Next: Round 2 and Beyond

With the Round 1 reporting phase concluding, all attention is now shifting to the upcoming rounds of counselling. Candidates who were not allotted a seat in Round 1 or who opted for an upgrade have the chance to participate in Round 2. The MCC is expected to release a detailed schedule for the second round soon. This will include dates for fresh registration, choice filling, and the final seat allotment result.

Round 2 is a significant opportunity for many aspiring students to secure a seat in a better college or a more preferred course. The process of choice filling is critical, and candidates are advised to be strategic and fill in as many colleges as possible to maximize their chances. The counselling process is a complex journey, but with careful planning and by staying informed through official sources, medical aspirants can successfully navigate their way to their dream college.
