NEET UG 2025 Counselling: Revised Schedule Out, Round 2 Choice Filling Closes Today

Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced a revised schedule for the NEET UG 2025 counselling process. The online choice filling and locking for Round 2 has officially closed today, September 15, 2025, at 8:00 AM, providing a final opportunity for candidates to secure a seat under the All India Quota (AIQ). The decision to revise the schedule was made to accommodate the inclusion of newly sanctioned seats from the National Medical Commission (NMC) and to complete the ongoing scrutiny of documents for NRI candidates. This move has been widely welcomed as it ensures a more transparent and fair allocation of seats.

With the choice filling window now closed, the focus shifts to the next crucial phase. The processing of seat allotment has commenced today and will continue until September 16. During this period, the system meticulously matches candidates' choices with their ranks and the available seats.

Here is the official timeline from the revised schedule for aspirants to follow:

• Seat Allotment Result: The provisional seat allotment result for Round 2 will be declared on September 17, 2025.
• Reporting/Joining: Candidates who are allotted a seat must report to their assigned institutes for document verification and admission from September 18 to September 25, 2025.

Aspirants are advised to keep their original documents ready and to stay vigilant by checking the official MCC website, mcc.nic.in, for any further notifications.
