The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has provided a significant update for medical aspirants, announcing the extension of the Round 1 college reporting deadline until August 22, 2025. This extension offers a vital window for candidates who have been allotted seats to complete their admission formalities, including physical reporting and document verification. The final data verification by the MCC is scheduled for August 23, 2025. This change is a welcome relief for thousands of students and their families, providing more time to handle the logistics of joining their new institutions. It is a critical reminder that while the allotment is a major step, securing the seat is only confirmed after completing the physical reporting process. State-Wise Allotment Results on the Horizon

While the MCC finalizes its first round, several state counselling authorities are poised to release their own seat allotment results today. This flurry of activity makes today a pivotal day for a large number of aspiring students across the country.

  • Madhya Pradesh (MP): The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) is set to announce the Round 1 allotment result. Following this, the reporting period will be from August 19 to 23.
  • Rajasthan: The Round 1 seat allotment results for Rajasthan are scheduled to be published today, with the document verification and reporting period set for August 19 to 24.
  • Kerala: The Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE Kerala) will release the final allotment for 5,946 candidates today, with a reporting window from August 19 to 24.
  • Tamil Nadu: The Directorate of Medical Education and Research is expected to declare its Round 1 allotment result for over 72,000 students today.
  • Uttar Pradesh (UP): The college reporting for MBBS and BDS admissions has already commenced and will continue until August 26.
  • Maharashtra: The state's CET Cell has released its Round 1 allotment results, and 38,372 candidates have been provisionally selected.
  • West Bengal: The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee has released a revised state merit list, making 11,178 candidates eligible for counselling for 5,589 seats.

This intricate process of staggered releases from both the central and state authorities underscores the complexity of securing a seat in a medical or dental college. Students are strongly advised to keep a close watch on the official websites of their respective state authorities as well as the MCC.

What's Next: Looking Ahead to Round 2

For those who did not receive an allotment in Round 1 or are seeking an upgrade, the focus now shifts to Round 2 of counselling. The MCC has announced the schedule for this upcoming round, with registrations and fee payments starting from August 21 and lasting until August 26. The choice-filling process will also take place during this period, from August 22 to 26, 2025.

Candidates who have been allotted a seat in Round 1 but have opted for an upgrade will be considered for a new seat in Round 2. It's important to remember that if they are allotted a seat in Round 2, their previous seat from Round 1 will be automatically cancelled. This is a critical rule that aspirants must understand before proceeding with their choices in the upcoming round. The upcoming rounds of counselling provide fresh opportunities for thousands of students to realize their dreams.
