For thousands of medical aspirants who recently participated in the NEET UG 2025 All India Quota (AIQ) Counselling Round 1, a crucial phase has begun. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), is actively engaged in the seat allotment processing for Round 1 today, July 30, 2025. This intensive phase follows the conclusion of online registration, choice filling, and choice locking by candidates for MBBS and BDS admissions across various prestigious institutions.

This process will determine the provisional allocation of seats to candidates based on their NEET UG 2025 ranks, the preferences they submitted, and the availability of seats under the 15% All India Quota in Government Medical/Dental Colleges, and 100% seats in Central Universities (including DU, BHU, AMU), AIIMS, JIPMER, Deemed Universities, ESIC, and AFMC.

Counselling Schedule and Key Dates:

The MCC had recently revised the schedule for Round 1 to accommodate various requests and ensure a smooth process. Here's the updated timeline:

  • Online Registration & Fee Payment: July 21 to July 31, 2025
  • Choice Filling & Locking: July 22 to July 31, 2025 (Locking from 4:00 PM to 11:55 PM on July 31)
  • Seat Allotment Processing: July 29 to July 30, 2025 (Currently Underway)
  • Provisional & Final Seat Allotment Result Declaration: August 3 to August 4, 2025
  • Reporting to Allotted Institutes: August 4 to August 8, 2025

What to Expect Next for Aspirants:

Candidates who have successfully completed the choice filling and locking process are advised to remain vigilant and keep a close watch on the official MCC website, mcc.nic.in.

  1. Result Declaration: The provisional and final seat allotment results for Round 1 are expected to be published between August 3 and August 4, 2025. Candidates will need to log in to the MCC portal using their credentials to check their allotment status.
  2. Download Allotment Letter: Upon successful allotment, candidates must download their provisional allotment letter from the MCC website. This letter is a mandatory document for reporting to the assigned college.
  3. Reporting to Allotted Institute: Those who are satisfied with their allotted seat and wish to confirm admission must report to the respective medical/dental college between August 4 and August 8, 2025. This involves physical verification of original documents and payment of the admission fee. Candidates have the option to "freeze" their allotted seat or "float" it for a chance to upgrade in subsequent rounds.

It is crucial for candidates to adhere strictly to the stipulated deadlines for reporting and admission formalities to avoid forfeiture of their allotted seats. The MCC will conduct subsequent rounds of counselling for vacant seats, details of which will be released later.

This phase marks a significant step towards fulfilling the dreams of medical aspirants who will soon embark on their journey in MBBS and BDS programs across the country's top institutions.
