NEET UG 2025 AIQ Round 1: Extended Deadlines Announced

Medical aspirants eagerly following the NEET UG 2025 All India Quota (AIQ) Round 1 counselling schedule might have been anticipating the commencement of seat allotment processing today, July 29, 2025. However, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued an important update, extending the deadlines for various activities in Round 1. This revision means that candidates now have a few more days to finalize their preferences.

The seat allotment processing, which determines the provisional college allocation for eligible candidates, will now begin from August 1, 2025, instead of the previously scheduled July 29.

Revised NEET UG 2025 AIQ Round 1 Schedule:

The MCC has revised the timeline to provide candidates with additional time for registration and choice submission. Here’s the updated schedule for NEET UG 2025 AIQ Round 1, critical for MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing admissions in government medical and dental colleges, AIIMS, JIPMER, and central universities:

• Registration & Payment: Extended until July 31, 2025 (up to 12:00 Noon for registration, 3:00 PM for payment)
• Choice Filling & Locking: Extended until July 31, 2025 (up to 11:55 PM; choice locking from 4:00 PM to 11:55 PM on July 31)

• Provisional & Final Seat Allotment Result: August 3 – August 4, 2025
• Reporting to Allotted Institutes: August 4 – August 8, 2025

Implications for Aspirants:

This extension provides a valuable opportunity for candidates who may not have completed their registration or choice filling and locking processes. It's imperative to utilize this extra time wisely:

• Review Choices Carefully: Re-evaluate your preferences for colleges and courses. Ensure your choices are in the correct order of priority to maximize your chances of securing a desired seat.
• Complete Registration: If you haven't registered yet, complete the process on the official MCC website (mcc.nic.in) before the extended deadline.
• Lock Choices: It is mandatory to lock your choices within the stipulated window on July 31. If choices are not explicitly locked, they will be automatically locked after the deadline.
• Prepare for Reporting: Once results are out (August 3-4), prepare all necessary documents (original and photocopies) for physical reporting and verification at your allotted institute from August 4.
