Overview of NEET UG 2024 Counselling

The NEET UG counselling process consists of four main rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 (also known as the Mop-up Round), and a Stray Vacancy Round. Each round is designed to allocate seats in MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and other medical courses based on candidates' performance in the NEET examination.

Key Dates for Round 3

  • Registration and Payment: Candidates must complete their registration and payment by October 8, 2024. The registration link will remain active until 12 Noon, while the payment facility will be available until 3 PM.
  • Choice Filling: The choice filling process will also close today at 11:55 PM.
  • Seat Allotment Result: The results for Round 2 seat allotment will be announced on October 11, 2024.
  • Reporting Dates: Candidates who receive an allotment must report to their respective colleges from October 19 to October 20, 2024.

To register for NEET UG counselling, candidates need to follow these steps:

  1. Visit the Official Website: Go to mcc.nic.in.
  2. New Registration: Click on the ‘New Registration’ tab or directly access the registration link.
  3. Enter Details: Fill in mandatory details such as NEET UG roll number, parent’s name, date of birth, and security code.
  4. Create Password: Select a password; credentials will be sent to the registered email address.

Eligibility Criteria

To participate in the NEET UG counselling process, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • They must qualify for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).
  • They must register on the official MCC website.
  • All candidates are eligible to participate in counselling for All India Quota (AIQ) seats and deemed universities.
