NEET SS 2025 Scorecards to Be Released This Week, Marking Start of Super-Specialty Admissions Cycle

Marks the beginning of the next major phase in the super-specialty medical admission cycle as the NEET SS 2025 Scorecards become available for download. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced that individual scorecards for candidates who appeared in the NEET SS 2025 exam on December 27 and 28 will be released on or after today. This follows the publication of the merit list and results on January 23, 2026. These scorecards are the final prerequisite for candidates before the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) initiates the online seat allocation for DM, MCh, and DrNB Super Specialty courses.

Candidates can access their NEET SS 2025 Scorecards by logging into the official NBEMS portal (natboard.edu.in). It is important to note that scorecards will only be available for download for a period of six months.

• Login Credentials: Candidates must use their registered User ID and password to access the student login page.
• Information Included: The scorecard will mention the candidate's rank, marks obtained, and the MBBS aggregate marks, which are used as a tie-breaking factor.
• Download Window: The board has clarified that the scorecards will be released in a phased manner starting today, February 2, 2026.
• Official Link: For direct access, candidates can visit the NEET SS 2025 Scorecard download link.

Merit List and Tie-Breaking Criteria

The release of the NEET SS 2025 Scorecards comes after the merit list established a clear hierarchy among the thousands of specialists who appeared for the exam. The NBEMS has employed strict criteria to resolve ties in scores to ensure a fair ranking.

• MBBS Aggregate Marks: In cases where two or more candidates have the same score, the candidate with higher aggregate marks in their MBBS professional exams is ranked higher.
• Age Factor: If the tie persists, the older candidate is given preference in the merit list.
• Group-wise Cut-offs: The cut-off marks for each of the 13 super-specialty groups were released on January 23, and only those above the 50th percentile are eligible for scorecards.
• Verification: Candidates are advised to cross-check all details on their NEET SS 2025 result PDF before downloading the individual rank card.

Upcoming Counselling and Admission Timeline

With the NEET SS 2025 Scorecards now in hand, the focus shifts to the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), which is expected to announce the counselling schedule for the All India Quota (AIQ) seats shortly. Super-specialty admissions involve a complex allocation of seats in premier government hospitals, private medical colleges, and DNB-affiliated institutions.

• Registration Start: MCC is projected to open the registration portal for the first round of NEET SS counselling in mid-February.
• Seat Matrix: The National Medical Commission (NMC) seat matrix will be updated to reflect the total DM/MCh seats available for the 2025-26 session.
• Choice Filling: Candidates will be required to lock their preferences for super-specialty branches and institutions in a sequence similar to the NEET PG process.
• Reporting Deadlines: Once allotted, super-specialists will have a narrow window to join their respective departments, as the academic session is already under pressure from previous delays.

Conclusion

The release of the NEET SS 2025 Scorecards on February 2, 2026, is a vital milestone for doctors seeking the highest level of medical training in India. As candidates secure their official rank cards, the transition from the examination phase to the admission phase is complete. The super-specialty cycle is the final hurdle in a long academic journey, and the efficiency of the NBEMS and MCC in managing this process ensures that the country’s healthcare system continues to produce world-class specialists. Aspirants are urged to download their scorecards early and keep multiple copies ready for the upcoming document verification rounds.
