The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is expected to release the NEET PG 2026 answer key and candidate response sheet shortly on its official website, natboard.edu.in. Candidates will be able to use the applicant login to check their question IDs, recorded responses and the corresponding correct answers.
The NEET PG 2026 answer key will allow candidates to compare the responses they marked in the examination with the official answers and calculate their probable score before the result is announced. According to the latest available information, NBEMS has not announced a fixed release time for the answer key. The result is scheduled to be declared by September 30, 2026.
NEET PG Answer Key 2026: Latest Update

The response sheet is expected to contain:
- Question ID
- Option ID

- Official correct response
- Relevant marks information
The publication of the answer key and response details is particularly significant for NEET PG 2026 candidates as NBEMS is providing this information following the transparency-related developments surrounding the examination.
As of the latest official NBEMS notice-board information checked for this report, a separate NEET PG 2026 answer-key release notice was not listed. Candidates should therefore rely on the official NBEMS portal for the activation of the answer-key facility.

NEET PG 2026 Marking Scheme and Score Calculation
The NEET PG 2026 marking scheme awards four marks for every correct answer and deducts one mark for every incorrect answer. No marks are awarded or deducted for an unattempted question.
Candidates can calculate their estimated raw score using:
NEET PG score = (Correct answers × 4) − (Incorrect answers × 1)
Candidates should use the official response sheet rather than memory-based answers while estimating their marks.
NEET PG Result 2026 Date
The NEET PG 2026 result is scheduled to be declared by September 30, 2026. NBEMS will publish the result through its official website. The result is expected to include candidates' scores and ranks, with the examination score calculated according to the prescribed marking scheme.
Candidates should note that the answer key is intended to help them assess their performance before the result. An estimated score should not be treated as the final NEET PG score or rank.
What Happens After NEET PG Result 2026?
After the NEET PG result, qualified candidates will proceed towards the postgraduate medical admission and counselling process.
Counselling for 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats is conducted through the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), while state authorities conduct counselling for the respective state quota seats. Admission depends on factors including NEET PG rank, choices filled, reservation, seat availability and applicable eligibility conditions.
Candidates should therefore keep their NEET PG login details and admission-related documents ready and monitor the official counselling authorities after the result.
For the latest answer-key, result and counselling updates, candidates should check the official NBEMS website regularly.
