NEET PG 2026 on August 30; Check Exam Timing, Dress Code for Female & Male Candidates

The NEET PG 2026 examination is scheduled to be conducted on August 30, 2026, in a single shift across examination centres in India. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has scheduled the computer-based test from 9 AM to 12:30 PM. Candidates appearing for the postgraduate medical entrance examination should carefully check their admit card and follow all exam-day instructions.

With the examination just days away, candidates should be particularly careful about reporting time, entry deadlines, documents, prohibited items and security procedures at the test centre.

NEET PG 2026 Exam Timing

Candidates should reach their allotted examination centre well before the entry deadline. The key timings for NEET PG 2026 are:

Candidates arriving after the entry gate closes at 8:30 AM will not be permitted to enter. Therefore, candidates should plan their travel in advance and reach the centre with sufficient time for verification and security checks.

NEET PG 2026: Documents to Carry

Candidates should keep their required documents ready before leaving for the examination centre. These include:

• Printed and completed NEET PG 2026 admit card
• Valid original photo ID proof
• Photocopy of permanent or provisional MBBS registration, wherever required as specified in the admit card

Candidates should carefully read the instructions printed on their individual admit card because centre-specific instructions may apply.

What Not to Carry to the NEET PG Exam Centre

Candidates should avoid carrying prohibited items to prevent delays during security checks. Electronic devices such as mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, Bluetooth devices and earphones are not permitted. Candidates should also avoid carrying stationery, books, notes, bags, wallets, jewellery and other unnecessary personal belongings.

Food items and personal water bottles should also not be carried unless specifically permitted under the applicable examination instructions.

NEET PG 2026 Dress Code for Female Candidates

Candidates should opt for simple and comfortable clothing on exam day. Heavy jewellery, metallic accessories and other unnecessary ornaments should be avoided because candidates will have to undergo security checks.

It is important to note that NBEMS has not prescribed a separate elaborate fashion-style dress code; candidates should follow the restrictions mentioned in their admit card and avoid clothing or accessories that could create issues during frisking.

NEET PG 2026 Dress Code for Male Candidates

Male candidates should similarly choose simple, comfortable clothing and avoid heavy metallic accessories, chains, rings and other items that could cause additional security checks.

Candidates should not assume that a particular outfit is automatically permitted based on general NEET exam dress-code rules. The instructions printed on the NEET PG 2026 admit card should be treated as the final authority.

NEET PG 2026 Last-Minute Tips

With only a few days left, candidates should focus on avoiding preventable mistakes rather than attempting major new topics. They should check the examination centre location in advance, plan their route and keep all required documents ready the night before.

Candidates should also get adequate sleep, eat a light meal before leaving and avoid unnecessary last-minute revision. Reaching the centre early will provide enough time for registration, identity verification and security checks.

The NEET PG 2026 exam is scheduled for August 30, and candidates should ensure that they follow the latest instructions issued by NBEMS. The official NEET PG section on the NBEMS website provides access to the information bulletin, applicant login, notices and examination-related updates.
