The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially declared the final seat allotment result for the third round of NEET PG 2025 counselling today, February 5, 2026. Following the processing of seat allotment data over the last 48 hours, the committee has updated the portal to reflect the final status for thousands of postgraduate medical aspirants. This round, widely regarded as the mop-up phase, is the final major opportunity for candidates to secure seats in MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses under the All India Quota (AIQ), Central Universities, and Deemed Institutes. Successful candidates are now required to log in to the official MCC portal to view their results.

Accessing Results and Allotment Letters

Candidates who participated in the choice-filling and locking process that concluded earlier this week can now access their status. The result has been published in a comprehensive PDF format, listing the rank-wise distribution of seats. However, for the purpose of admission, a candidate must download the individual allotment letter. This letter serves as the primary authorization document required by the institutes to initiate the joining formalities.

  • Login Protocol: To retrieve the document, candidates must navigate to the 'PG Medical Counselling' section and enter their secure credentials, including their roll number and password.
  • Verification of Details: It is advised to double-check the allotted subject, college, and category mentioned in the letter against the preferences filled during the registration phase.
  • Technical Support: In case of any discrepancy or difficulty in downloading the letter, candidates can reach out to the MCC helpdesk via the contact details provided on the official notification page.

Mandatory Reporting and Documentation

With the release of the final result, the window for physical reporting at the designated colleges is now in full swing. Per the revised MCC schedule, all candidates must report to their respective institutes by February 11, 2026. This process is mandatory for confirming the seat. During this period, the college authorities will conduct a thorough physical verification of the original documents to ensure that the candidate's credentials match the data provided to the National Board of Examinations (NBE) and the MCC.

  • Document Checklist: Candidates must carry their NEET PG 2025 admit card, scorecard, internship completion certificate, and permanent/provisional registration certificate.
  • Identity Proof: A valid government-issued photo ID is required to verify the credentials of the applicant at the time of entry.
  • Fee Payment: Admission is only considered complete once the requisite tuition fees are deposited at the college as per the institutional norms.

Final Stages of the Admission Cycle

As the Round-3 reporting concludes, any remaining vacancies will be moved to the Online Stray Vacancy Round. Candidates who have been allotted a seat in this round but fail to join will be ineligible for the stray round, and their security deposit will be forfeited. The medical colleges are required to update the status of joined candidates on the MCC portal daily to provide a clear picture of the remaining seat matrix.

  • Institutional Duties: Colleges must ensure that the joining process is updated online to prevent any seats from being wrongly marked as vacant.
  • Strict Timelines: There will be no extension to the February 11 deadline, and candidates are encouraged to complete their travel and reporting arrangements well in advance to avoid last-minute hurdles.
  • Confirmation: Once the allotment is secured and fees are paid, candidates will receive a generated admission slip, marking the official start of their postgraduate journey.

The MCC has cautioned candidates against falling for fraudulent admission offers and has reiterated that all allotments are strictly based on merit and the online counselling process.
