NEET PG 2025 Round 2 Admission Reporting Still Allowed at Participating Institutes; Reporting period continues through 24 Dec

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has confirmed that the reporting phase for NEET PG 2025 Round 2 seat allotment is currently underway. Candidates who have been successfully allotted seats in this round are required to complete their physical reporting and admission formalities at their respective participating institutes. This stage is a pivotal transition for aspirants moving from the competitive examination phase into their professional postgraduate residency. With the window narrowing, it is imperative for candidates to act swiftly to secure their MD/MS or DNB seats and avoid the forfeiture of their allotted preferences.

Essential Deadlines and Reporting Timeline

The MCC has established a strict schedule to ensure a smooth transition between counselling rounds. Successful candidates must adhere to the following timeline to maintain their eligibility for the current session:

• Reporting Window: The physical reporting process, which commenced following the result declaration, remains open until 24 December 2025.
• Verification Period: Participating institutes will conclude the internal verification of joined candidates by 26 December 2025.
• Data Sharing: Final data regarding joined and vacant seats will be shared with the MCC immediately after the reporting deadline to prepare for the Round 3 seat matrix.

Mandatory Documentation for Physical Verification

To finalize the admission, candidates must present original documents at their allotted colleges. Any discrepancy in the paperwork can lead to the immediate cancellation of the seat. The following checklist includes the primary requirements:

• Allotment Letter: A printed copy of the Round 2 provisional allotment letter downloaded from the official MCC portal.
• Entrance Credentials: NEET PG 2025 admit card and the official rank card or scorecard issued by NBEMS.
• Academic Certificates: MBBS degree certificate and mark sheets for all professional examinations.
• Legal Proofs: Internship completion certificate, permanent or provisional registration certificate (NMC/SMC), and a valid photo ID (Aadhaar/Passport).
• Category Documents: Valid SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD certificates, where applicable, issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format.

Strategic Guidelines for Successful Admission

Candidates should treat the reporting process as a comprehensive administrative task rather than a mere visit. Following these guidelines will help ensure a hassle-free experience:

• Fee Payment: Be prepared with the requisite tuition fees and security deposits as specified by the individual institute's website.
• Status Update: Ensure that the college authorities update your "Joined" status on the intra-MCC portal before you leave the campus.
• No Free Exit: Remember that once a candidate joins a seat in Round 2, they are generally not eligible for a "Free Exit" and may face restrictions on participating in subsequent rounds if they later choose to resign.

Conclusion

The completion of Round 2 reporting marks a significant milestone in the NEET PG 2025 journey. Aspirants must prioritize this window to ensure their hard-earned seats are not lost due to technical or clerical delays. We strongly recommend that all successful candidates immediately download their allotment letters and start their journey to their respective colleges to complete the process before the final cutoff. You should consistently monitor the official MCC portal for any last-minute notifications or changes to the reporting protocol.
