NEET PG 2025 Counselling Schedule and Seat Matrix Expected Soon

In a crucial update for postgraduate medical aspirants, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to release the schedule and seat matrix for NEET PG 2025 counselling at any moment. The imminent announcement is a much-anticipated step for medical graduates who have qualified for admission to MD, MS, and other postgraduate diploma courses for the 2025-26 academic session.

While the NEET PG 2025 results were declared on August 19, the counselling process for the 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats has been delayed. This has created a tense wait for aspirants, a situation further complicated by a pending Supreme Court case on a plea challenging the transparency of the NEET PG exam. The outcome of this legal matter could influence the counselling process, though it is not expected to delay the initial schedule release.

Meanwhile, some states have taken the lead by starting their own counselling processes for the 50% state quota seats. For instance, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat have already commenced their registration and choice-filling activities. This highlights the importance of aspirants staying informed about both the central MCC schedule and the timelines of their respective state counselling authorities.

The upcoming seat matrix from the MCC is a critical document for candidates. It will provide a detailed, college-wise and specialty-wise breakdown of available seats, including those under various reservation categories (SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD). By reviewing this document, aspirants will be able to make informed choices during the online choice-filling process.
