Aspiring dental postgraduates are on standby as the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is yet to release the NEET MDS Counselling 2026 schedule on its official website, mcc.nic.in. Candidates who appeared for the NEET MDS exam and cleared the qualifying cutoff will be able to register once the window opens. The counselling is being conducted for 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats, deemed/central university seats, ESIC, and AFMC seats, in line with Supreme Court directions.
NBEMS had declared the NEET MDS 2026 result on June 2, 2026, in two separate PDFs on natboard.edu.in. As per past-year trends, MCC has delayed releasing the counselling schedule, and the process is now expected to begin in the first week of August 2026, conducted entirely online across multiple rounds.

- Must have completed a BDS program from a recognized dental college
- Must have appeared for and qualified the NEET MDS 2026 exam
- Must have completed the one-year compulsory internship

- Click on the 'MDS' link
- Click on "New Registration" and proceed
- Complete registration to receive login credentials
- Log in and fill the NEET MDS counselling form 2026
- Pay the counselling registration fee
- Review details carefully and submit the form
Registration cannot be completed without fee payment, as the portal blocks form submission until the fee is cleared. Payment must be made in online mode only, and the fee amount is non-refundable.

Choice Filling and Locking Process
- Log in to the registered MCC account
- Choose from options listed on the left side of the screen
- Click "+" against a choice to add it to the preference list
- Selected options move to the right side of the screen
- Reorder preferences by moving choices up or down
- Click "Save and continue," followed by "Save and go home page" to exit
- Take a printout of the locked choices for future reference
Candidates can edit their choices after every round for the subsequent one.

What Happens After Seat Allotment
Once the seat allotment result is out, candidates must accept the allotted seat and report to the institute to complete admission; failing to do so revokes the allotment. Candidates wishing to upgrade must resign from their current seat and participate in the next counselling round.
Roughly 1,400 seats are expected to be available for Round 1 across All India Quota institutes, deemed universities, and central universities, with the seat matrix to be released separately in PDF format for each round ahead of choice filling.
