NEET MDS 2026: Critical Timelines and Fee Structure

The NBEMS has laid out a strict schedule for the 2026 cycle. Candidates must ensure their internship completion dates align with the board's mandatory cutoff.

Key Steps for Successful Registration

The NEET MDS registration process requires a high degree of accuracy, especially regarding professional credentials.

1. User Registration: Visit nbe.edu.in or natboard.edu.in to create a profile and receive your User ID and Password.
2. Professional Details: You must enter your BDS marks, Dental Council of India (DCI) registration number, and specific details about your compulsory rotatory internship.
3. Document Upload: AI-based face recognition technology is often used during the exam; therefore, the uploaded photograph must be recent, clear, and meet the specific "Image Upload Instructions" provided in the bulletin.
4. City Selection: Exam cities are allotted on a "first-come, first-served" basis. If a city is full, candidates must choose the 'Others' option or a neighboring state.

Eligibility and Internship Cutoff

A major point of concern for 2026 aspirants is the internship completion deadline. To be eligible for NEET MDS 2026, candidates must possess a recognized BDS degree and have completed (or be likely to complete) their one-year mandatory internship on or before the cutoff date specified by the DCI. Candidates currently undergoing their internship must provide a certificate from the Head of the Institution stating the expected date of completion.

What Happens After Registration?

Once the window closes, NBEMS will provide a "Selective Edit Window" where candidates can correct their photograph, signature, and thumb impressions. However, core fields like name, nationality, and test city cannot be changed. Following this, the focus will shift to the issuance of admit cards and the computer-based examination, which consists of 240 multiple-choice questions covering the entire BDS curriculum.
