NEET MDS 2025: KNRUHS Extends Registration Following Cut-Off Reduction
The Kaloji Narayan Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) has extended its online registration for NEET MDS 2025, providing a crucial opportunity for aspirants to secure admission after a significant reduction in cut-off scores.
In a major relief for thousands of dental aspirants, the Kaloji Narayan Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) has announced an extension for online registration for Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) admissions for the academic year 2025-26. This extension follows a notable reduction in the NEET-MDS 2025 cut-off score, a decision that has significantly broadened the scope for a larger number of candidates to gain admission into prestigious MDS programs. This move is aimed at filling vacant seats and ensuring that deserving candidates get a fair chance to pursue their higher education.
The extended registration period is a direct result of the reduced qualifying percentile, as mandated by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). This change affects qualified NEET-MDS 2025 candidates aspiring for admission to MDS courses in affiliated private dental colleges in Telangana, including the Army College of Dental Sciences, under various quotas such as Competent Authority and Management Quota (MQ1, MQ2 - NRI, and MQ3).
Revised Cut-Offs and What They Mean for You
The revised cut-off scores have made thousands of previously ineligible candidates eligible for the counselling process. The new qualifying scores are as follows:
- General Category: The cut-off score has been reduced to 168, corresponding to a minimum eligibility of 30.137 Percentile.
- SC/ST/OBC (including PWD of SC/ST/OBC): The new cut-off score is 168, with the minimum eligibility being 20.137 Percentile.
- General – PWD: The cut-off score has been adjusted to 182, with a minimum eligibility of 25.137 Percentile.
This reduction means that candidates who were just shy of the previous cut-offs now have a renewed chance at admission. It is a golden opportunity for aspirants to reconsider their options and participate in the ongoing counselling process.
Important Dates and Registration Process
Online registration and certificate uploading are being conducted on the official KNRUHS website. The window for this crucial step started on August 21, 2025, and will close at 1:00 PM on August 23, 2025. It is imperative for all eligible aspirants to complete their registration and upload the necessary documents before this strict deadline.
The university has also clarified that candidates who have already registered and completed the certificate verification process do not need to re-register. They are automatically eligible to participate in the choice-filling and subsequent rounds of counselling.
