As the examination for Medical Schools comes close, the students and their parents should talk about the revision strategies for the examination but the conversation people have about the exam tend to be on the lines of the integrity of the examination.

As the examination for Medical Schools comes close, the students and their parents should talk about the revision strategies for the examination but the conversation people have about the exam tend to be on the lines of the integrity of the examination. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is scheduled on May 3 but last year’s reviews are mingling on the minds of students.

In 2025, there were concerns raised on the integrity of the medical exam. When these concerns went to the Supreme Court, the Supreme Court said that the concerns regarding transparency of the examination were valid. The exam was not completely transparent.

Another concern that is creating loads of anxiety to students is “Whether the National Testing Agency is clear about the policies regarding the Biometric System?” People who are going to give the examination are tweeting, as to “What if the Biometrics fail?”

The relatives of the candidates who are going to appear for the exam are, straightaway, asking whether the National Testing Agency is clear in their thought process? What if the Biometrics don’t match? Will the Testing Agency disallow the candidate from giving the exam?

Fear or anxiety is not abstract. Last year the same examination had fingerprint mismatches and power outages that disrupted the examination. Due to these issues there are delays at the entry gates all over the country. In the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, students have 180 problems to solve. Many of these questions, especially in physics, have a lengthy process to solve the questions.

In an examination where every second counts, creating delay for students is quite harmful for their career. In the counselling process of the NEET exam, students want to get as many marks as possible because that’s the demand of Medical Education in India.

If a student gets across a certain line, they’ll easily get into a Government Medical College. To receive medical education from a government college is the demand of a huge number of students. If the testing agency provides a notification regarding Biometrics, it’ll resolve anxiety of a large number of students.
