The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the NEET UG 2026 examination on May 3, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. After the exam, students across India started looking for NEET 2026 answer keys to calculate their expected scores and understand their chances of admission.

Several leading coaching institutes, including Allen, Aakash, Motion, Sri Chaitanya, and Infinity, have started releasing unofficial NEET 2026 answer keys and solutions PDFs for paper codes 11, 12, 13, and 14.

These answer keys help students estimate their marks before the official result. However, the final answer key and result will be released only by NTA on the official website: neet.nta.nic.in.

NEET UG 2026 Paper Analysis and Student Reactions

According to initial student reactions, the NEET UG 2026 paper was moderate in difficulty. Many students felt that the paper was lengthy and required proper time management. Candidates who had strong NCERT preparation, especially in Biology, found the exam more manageable.

Physics Analysis

Physics was considered moderate by most students. Questions were asked from important topics such as Current Electricity, Magnetic Effects, Kinematics, Electrostatics, Wave Optics, Rotation, Mechanics, and Electromagnetism.

The section required strong conceptual clarity along with calculation speed. Students who had practised numerical-based questions regularly were able to handle this section better.

Chemistry Analysis

Chemistry was rated easy to moderate. Physical Chemistry was mostly direct and scoring, while Organic Chemistry had a few tricky questions that required careful reading and application-based thinking.

Students with a good command over NCERT concepts and reaction mechanisms found the section manageable.

Biology Analysis

Biology was the easiest section for most aspirants. Questions were mainly asked from human physiology, animal husbandry, biotechnology, human reproduction, biomolecules, genetics, and plant physiology.

Since biology carries the highest weightage in NEET preparation, students with strong NCERT-based revision found this section highly scoring.

NEET Expected Cutoff 2026

The NEET cutoff for 2026 depends on several factors, including paper difficulty level, total number of applicants, seat availability, and overall student performance.

Based on the current paper analysis, the expected cutoff scores are given below:

CategoryNEET Expected Cutoff Score
UR/EWS700–141
OBC, SC, ST150–126
UR/EWS-PwD150–116
OBC/SC/ST-PwD130–121

For students aiming for government MBBS colleges, a score of 650+ is generally considered a safer benchmark for general category candidates, although actual admission chances will depend on state quota, All India Quota, category, counselling trends, and college preference.

Qualifying Percentile for NEET 2026

The NEET qualifying percentile is the minimum percentile required to qualify for counselling. It does not guarantee admission but makes a candidate eligible for the admission process.

CategoryNEET Cutoff Percentile
General/EWS50th Percentile
SC/ST/OBC40th Percentile
PwD-SC/ST/OBC40th Percentile
PwD-General/EWS45th Percentile

The qualifying percentile generally remains the same every year. However, the actual marks corresponding to the percentile may change depending on the difficulty level of the exam and the performance of candidates.

NEET 2026 Answer Key Update

After the exam, unofficial answer keys are being released by various coaching institutes. Students can use these answer keys to calculate their expected NEET 2026 score.

However, candidates should remember that unofficial answer keys are only for reference. The official NEET 2026 provisional answer key will be released by NTA on neet.nta.nic.in.

After releasing the provisional answer key, NTA will open an objection window, where students can challenge answers by paying the required fee. After reviewing the objections, NTA will release the final answer key and result.

When Will NEET UG 2026 Results Be Declared?

NTA has not officially announced the NEET UG 2026 result date yet. However, based on previous trends, the result is expected around June 15, 2026.

Before the result, NTA is expected to release the following:

  1. Provisional answer key
  2. OMR response sheet
  3. Objection window
  4. Final answer key
  5. NEET UG 2026 result

Students are advised to regularly visit the official website neet.nta.nic.in for authentic updates.

Final Thought

The NEET UG 2026 exam was overall moderate, with biology being the highest-scoring section, chemistry ranging from easy to moderate, and physics requiring stronger problem-solving skills. Students should now use the unofficial answer keys carefully to estimate their scores, but they should wait for the official NTA answer key and result before making final admission decisions.

For aspirants, the next important step is to understand expected cutoff trends, shortlist colleges, prepare documents, and stay ready for the NEET UG 2026 counselling process.
