NBEMS Rolls Out Notice for Sponsored DNB Counselling 2025; Government Employees Must Submit NOC by January 8

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has initiated the process for the Centralized Merit-Based Counselling for Sponsored DNB (Post MBBS and Post Diploma) seats for the 2025 admission session. This scheme is specifically designed for regular in-service doctors working in Government, Central/State Autonomous, or PSU organizations.

The most critical and immediate step for all eligible candidates is the submission of the No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective Cadre Controlling Authority (CCA).

The Mandatory NOC Submission Deadline

All in-service doctors who wish to participate in the Sponsored DNB 2025 Counselling, whether for Post-MBBS DNB or Post-Diploma DNB seats, must ensure their NOC is submitted to the NBEMS by:

  • NOC Submission Deadline: January 8, 2026

Strict Compliance: NBEMS has clarified that the NOC must be submitted strictly as per the format prescribed on the NBEMS website, and receipt beyond the prescribed date or through any mode other than the designated portal will not be considered.

Key Eligibility Criteria for Sponsored Seats

The Sponsored Seats are exclusively earmarked for doctors who meet the following strict criteria:

Post-MBBS DNBMust have Qualified NEET-PG 2025 and completed one year of internship on or before July 31, 2025.
Post-Diploma DNBMust have Appeared in DNB-PDCET 2025 and passed the final Post Graduate Diploma exam on or before January 31, 2025.
Common CriteriaMust be working in a Government/PSU organization on a regular basis and must secure the official NOC and Study Leave from the employer (who will bear the stipend).

Procedure for Submitting the NOC

The submission process for the NOC is entirely online and must be done through the NBEMS Communication Web Portal (CWP):

  1. Go to the official NBEMS website (natboard.edu.in).
  2. Navigate to Contact Us $\rightarrow$ Communication Web Portal (CWP).
  3. Select the Department of Training and Monitoring.
  4. Select the Query $\rightarrow$ Option 1: Counselling$\rightarrow$ Option 2: Submission of NOC.
  5. Select the relevant course (DNB Post MBBS/DNB Post Diploma).
  6. Attach the duly filled and signed NOC (in the prescribed format) and submit the query.

NBEMS has published the Indicative Seat Matrix, which shows approximately 234 sponsored seats (198 Post MBBS and 36 Post Diploma) across various specialties. The final counselling schedule will be notified after the NOC submission process is complete.

All eligible government doctors must immediately apply for the NOC to their Cadre Controlling Authority to ensure the document is prepared and submitted before the January 8, 2026, deadline.
