The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released the official schedule for the in-person distribution of FMGE December 2025 pass certificates. Qualified doctors must visit the Delhi office with original documents between February 23 and April 14, 2026, following strict biometric verification protocols to get their license to practice in India.

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has sent out an important reminder for all doctors who passed the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) in December 2025. Starting tomorrow, February 23, 2026, the board will begin handing out the official Pass Certificates. This certificate is the most important document for foreign medical graduates because, without it, they cannot register with the State Medical Council to start practicing medicine in India. All qualified candidates must visit the NBEMS office in person to collect this paper. You can see the official notice on the NBEMS notice board.

Collection Schedule and Venue

The distribution process is not a walk-in service. The NBEMS has set a very specific timeline to ensure there is no crowding at the office.

  • Start Date: February 23, 2026.
  • End Date: April 14, 2026.
  • Location: NBEMS Office, PSP Area, Sector-09, Dwarka, New Delhi - 110075.
  • Timing: You must arrive exactly at the time slot mentioned on your "Entry Slip."

If a doctor cannot come on their assigned day, they cannot just show up the next day. They will have to ask for a new appointment through the official communication portal. The board has made it clear that no certificates will be given to parents, friends, or any other representative. The doctor must be there themselves.

Mandatory Documents to Carry

When you go to the NBEMS office, you must carry your original documents. If you only bring photocopies or digital pictures on your phone, the officers will not give you the certificate.

Document NameRequirement Detail
Entry SlipMust be a printed hard copy from the website
FMGE Admit CardPreferably the one used during the exam
PassportOriginal Indian or Foreign passport
MBBS DegreeOriginal degree or Provisional certificate
ID ProofAadhaar, PAN Card, or Voter ID

The "Entry Slip" is very special because it also contains a "Self-Declaration" form. You must fill this out before you reach the office. You can download your slip by logging into the NBEMS portal. Also, the board suggests not putting henna or tattoos on your fingers, as they will use biometric machines to check your fingerprints.

Why This Certificate is Important

The FMGE is a screening test for Indians who studied medicine abroad. Once they pass, this certificate acts as proof that they are qualified to work as doctors in India. The NBEMS explained that the scorecard you download online is not enough for registration. Only this physical Pass Certificate, which is given after checking your original degree and identity, is valid for getting your medical license.

Conclusion

As the collection starts on February 23, all candidates should double-check their travel plans. Since the office is in Delhi, students coming from other states should reach a day early to avoid being late for their time slot. The NBEMS has worked hard to make this process smooth, but it requires the cooperation of every doctor. Make sure all your primary medical qualification papers are apostilled or attested as required. Once you have this certificate, you are officially ready to join the Indian healthcare system and start your journey as a registered medical professional.
