Nagaland University has started the online registration process for CET B.Ed (Nagaland) 2026 for admission to the 2026–28 academic session. Students who want to take admission in the two-year regular B.Ed course offered by government and private teacher education colleges across Nagaland can now apply through the official university website.
The registration process began on April 27, 2026, and the last date to submit the online application form is May 25, 2026. The entrance examination will be conducted on July 11, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at exam centres located in Kohima, Dimapur, and Mokokchung.
Nagaland University conducts the CET B.Ed entrance exam every year for admission into B.Ed colleges affiliated with the university. This year, a total of 585 seats are available across eight teacher education colleges in the state.

Exam Pattern and Question Structure
The CET B.Ed 2026 exam will be conducted only in English medium. The paper will include 100 multiple-choice questions carrying one mark each, and students will get two hours to complete the exam.
The question paper will be divided into two sections.
Part A – Common Section (60 Questions)
This section will include:
- Teaching Aptitude – 20 Questions
- General Awareness and Reasoning – 20 Questions
- English Language Proficiency – 20 Questions
Part B – Subject-Specific Section (40 Questions)
Candidates must choose one subject based on their preferred pedagogy:
- Mathematics
- Science
- Social Science
- English
The questions in Part B will be based on the graduation-level syllabus prescribed by Nagaland University.
Eligibility Criteria and Application Fee
Students applying for CET B.Ed 2026 must be Indian citizens and should have completed a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks from a recognised university. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories will receive a 5% relaxation in marks.
Candidates with engineering degrees who scored at least 55% marks and studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are also eligible to apply for Mathematics or Science pedagogy.
The application fee for Open and OBC category candidates is Rs. 800. Candidates must complete the fee payment before submitting the online application form.
Merit List and Admission Process
Nagaland University will prepare a separate merit list for each pedagogy based on candidates’ entrance exam scores. If two candidates score the same marks, higher marks in Part B will be considered first. If the tie still continues, preference will be given to the candidate who submitted the application earlier.
The CET B.Ed (Nagaland) 2026 rank will be valid only for the 2026–28 academic session. Candidates selected through the merit list will have to participate in counselling and seat allotment for final admission.
