The management quota accounts for 10% of the total seats available in each BTech program. The remaining 90% of seats are filled via the central IPU counseling process. MSIT organizes its own counseling for the management quota seats. 

Branches Offered Under Management Quota

MSIT offers management quota seats in four B.Tech. programs for the 2026-27 session. Lateral entry opportunities are also available for three of these programs at the second-year level.

Lateral entry into the second year is available for CSE, IT, and ECE. This pathway is designed for eligible diploma holders looking to directly enter the BTech program.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?

Applicants must have completed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects.
According to the admission rules for the quota, they should have scored at least 80% in their Class 12 board exams. Applicants must also have taken the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main). The final merit list for management quota seats is based on the aggregate marks from the Class 12 board examination.
