The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Madhya Pradesh, has officially released a revised schedule for the MP NEET UG 2025 Round 1 counselling for MBBS and BDS admissions. This decision comes in direct response to the revised timeline of the All India Quota (AIQ) counselling by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), which prompted the state to adjust its own schedule to avoid any conflicts in seat allotments.

The key highlight of the new schedule is the reopening of the registration window for eligible candidates. Aspirants who have not yet registered for the state's 85% quota counselling now have a fresh opportunity to do so until 11:59 PM tomorrow, August 11, 2025. This is a critical update for thousands of candidates who are hoping to secure a seat in Madhya Pradesh's government and private medical and dental colleges.

Revised Timeline for Round 1

The updated schedule, available on the official DME portal dme.mponline.gov.in, outlines the complete process from registration to the final seat allotment.

Instructions for Candidates

For New Applicants:

Candidates who have not yet registered for the counselling process must do so by the new deadline of August 11, 2025. The registration is a mandatory step to be considered for the state quota seats. They must visit the official portal, register using their NEET UG 2025 credentials, upload the required documents, and pay the counselling fee.

For Already Registered Candidates:

Candidates who have already registered do not need to register again. However, the DME has also provided a facility for both new and existing candidates to edit their profiles and registration details. This window is also open until August 11.

The Merit List and Choice-Filling

The revised state merit list will be published on August 12, 2025. This list will include all registered candidates and will determine their rank for the choice-filling process.

Once the merit list is out, the online choice-filling and locking process will begin on August 13 and will close on August 15. It is crucial for all candidates to fill their preferences carefully. The DME has emphasized that all candidates, including those who have already filled their choices, will have the opportunity to edit and lock them during this period. The system will consider the last locked choices for seat allotment.

Document Verification and Admission

The final seat allotment result for Round 1 is scheduled for August 18, 2025. Candidates who are allotted a seat must download their allotment letter and physically report to their respective colleges between August 19 and August 23. This is where the final document verification and admission confirmation will take place.

The DME has also made it mandatory for all candidates to exercise the "upgradation" option (Yes/No) at the time of admission at the college level. This option allows candidates to indicate their desire to be considered for a better college/course in the next round of counselling, even after accepting a seat in the current round.

This revised schedule brings clarity to the admission process and ensures that the state's counselling is in sync with the national timeline, thereby streamlining admissions for thousands of aspiring doctors and dentists.
