MP Medical Council Finalises FMG Internship Seat Matrix; Choice Filling and Locking Window Opens Today

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Madhya Pradesh, has released the Final Seat Position for the Foreign Medical Graduate (FMG) Internship Counselling 2025. This crucial step follows the publication of the final merit list and officially paves the way for the Choice Filling and Locking process, which is set to begin today, December 16, 2025.

All eligible FMGs whose names appear on the MP State Merit List must urgently log in to the DME portal to submit their college and institution preferences. The choice filling window is extremely short and demands immediate action.

The Final Seat Position document details the exact number of internship vacancies available at various Government and Private medical institutions across Madhya Pradesh. This matrix includes any newly allocated or recently vacated seats, providing FMGs with the most accurate picture of their options.

Candidates are strongly advised to download and meticulously review the final seat matrix before commencing the choice filling process.

Mandatory Choice Filling and Locking Steps

1. Prioritization is Key: The allotment is done purely based on the FMG's merit rank and the order of preferences listed. Candidates must fill the most desired institution/college at the first preference and proceed sequentially.
2. Fill ALL Options: It is highly recommended to fill every college listed in the vacancy matrix. Filling all available choices maximizes the chances of securing a seat based on merit.
3. Mandatory Locking: After arranging the choices, candidates must use the "Lock" option before the deadline (December 21, 2025). Unlocked choices may not be considered for the seat allotment process, leading to the forfeiture of the counselling opportunity.

FMGs must also prepare all original documentation, including the FMGE Pass Certificate, Foreign MBBS Degree, and any required affidavits, as the reporting phase begins immediately on December 24, 2025.
