MIT Manipal Is Now Accepting JEE Main Scores — Big News for 2026 Applicants

Let's be real — preparing for multiple entrance exams is exhausting. JEE Main alone takes months of sleepless nights and endless mock tests. So when a college like MIT Manipal says, "Your JEE Main score is enough to get in" — that's worth paying attention to.
MIT Manipal has officially announced that 20% of its BTech seats for the 2026-27 batch will be reserved for JEE Main 2026 scorers. No MET. No extra exam. Just your JEE Main scorecard and a straightforward application.
How Did Students Find Out?
It didn't come through a big flashy announcement. Most students found out through an official email sent quietly by MIT Manipal to prospective applicants. Someone then shared a screenshot on Reddit, and within hours, engineering aspirants across the country were talking about it. And for good reason.
How Are Seats Divided?
| Admission Route | Seats Available |
| JEE Main 2026 | 20% of total seats |
| Manipal Entrance Test (MET) | 80% of total seats |
If you've taken the MET, nothing changes for you. But if JEE Main was your focus this year, you now have a direct route in. That's a win either way.
Are You Eligible?
Make sure you tick these boxes before applying:
- Scored above the 90th percentile in JEE Main 2026
- Cleared Class 12 with Physics, Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects
- Minimum 50% aggregate in Physics, Mathematics, and one optional subject
If that sounds like you, head to admissions.manipal.edu and get started. Keep your JEE Main scorecard and documents ready.
Is MIT Manipal Worth It?
Absolutely. Ranked 4th among private engineering colleges in India, MIT Manipal sees 220+ companies visiting campus every year. The highest domestic package stands at ₹69.25 LPA, with international offers reaching ₹2.19 Crore. Scholarships worth ₹100 crores are available across 25 categories, and 80+ global university partnerships open doors to study-abroad opportunities.
This is a place that genuinely invests in its students — not just in placements, but in shaping who they become.
What Happens After You Apply?
MIT Manipal will verify your documents and build a merit list based on JEE Main scores. If shortlisted, you'll be called for counselling to choose your preferred campus — Manipal or Bengaluru — and your specialisation.
Bottom Line
If JEE Main went well for you this year, this is your moment. Apply early, keep your documents ready, and go for it.
You've already done the hard part.
