The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Maharashtra has officially started the MHT CET 2026 CAP Counselling Registration from July 2, 2026. Candidates seeking admission to B.E./B.Tech and Integrated M.E./M.Tech programs can now register online at the official CAP portal.
The Centralised Admission Process (CAP) is the single gateway for admissions across government, government-aided, and private engineering colleges in Maharashtra. The last date to complete registration and document upload is July 12, 2026 (5 PM).

- MHT CET 2026 appeared candidates: No counselling fee
- JEE Main / NEET candidates (who didn’t appear for MHT CET):
- General: ₹1,300
- Reserved (Maharashtra): ₹1,000
How to Register for MHT CET 2026 CAP Counselling
- Visit the official portal: fe2026.mahacet.org
- Click on New Registration and log in using MHT CET Application Number & Roll Number
- Fill in personal, academic and reservation details
- Upload required scanned documents
- Choose verification mode: E-Scrutiny (Online) or Physical Scrutiny
- Pay fee (if applicable) and submit the form
- Download the confirmation page
Pro Tip: Candidates opting for E-Scrutiny do not need to visit any centre. Documents will be verified online.

- School Leaving Certificate
- Domicile Certificate (if applicable)
- Caste Certificate & Non-Creamy Layer (for reserved categories)
- Valid certificates for J&K/Ladakh Migrant, EWS, etc.
What Happens After Registration?
After the registration window closes, the CET Cell will release the Provisional Merit List. Candidates can raise grievances between July 16–18. The Final Merit List will be published on July 20, 2026. Choice filling and seat allotment rounds will follow.
Students are advised to complete registration early to avoid last-minute server issues. Those appearing through JEE Main scores can also participate in the CAP process.
